Joe Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is the “foreign policy advisor” referred to in the indictment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann.

Recall, Hillary’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann was indicted in September for lying to the FBI.

According to the indictment, Sussmann falsely told FBI Counsel James Baker he wasn’t doing work “for any client” when he asked for a meeting with the FBI where he presented bogus evidence the Trump Tower was secretly communicating with Kremlin-tied Alfa Bank.

Fox News producer Jake Gibson on Tuesday reported Jake Sullivan is mentioned in the indictment of Michael Sussmann.

Fox News reported:

The Durham indictment lays out a scenario where an unnamed Clinton campaign lawyer, “exchanged emails with the Clinton Campaign’s campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor [Jake Sullivan] concerning the Russian Bank-1 allegations that Sussmann had recently shared,” with an unnamed reporter.

There is no indication that Sullivan is a target of Durham’s investigation, only that he received information from Sussmann.

Fox News has reached out to Sullivan’s office for comment. White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred Fox News to the Department of Justice and said the White House had no comment as of Tuesday. “I don’t know anything about what you’re you’re just mentioning,” Jean-Pierre said. “So I have to to talk to our team.”

The Durham indictment also alleges that Sussmann was working on behalf of a tech industry executive, an American internet company and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Last week Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations reported on Jake Sullivan’s role in spreading the Trump Tower-Alfa Bank lie:

Clinton foreign policy adviser and current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan would put out a written statement trumpeting the Trump-Alfa Bank story, which was shared by then-candidate Clinton on Oct. 31, 2016, after Slate reported on it. Fusion GPS, the Washington opposition-research group that worked for the Clinton campaign as a paid agent, and helped gather dirt on Alfa Bank and draft the materials Sussmann would later submit to the FBI, reportedly pressed Slate to publish the story by the account of its author, journalist Franklin Foer.

For good measure, old Clinton hands tried another pressure point. In early February 2017, Clinton’s foreign policy adviser Sullivan huddled with Fusion GPS’s Simpson and Daniel Jones, an FBI analyst-turned-Democrat-operative, to reboot the same smear campaign against Trump. (As RCI previously reported, Sullivan, who spearheaded the campaign’s effort to promote the narrative of a disturbing Trump-Russia relationship via the Alfa Bank story, is under scrutiny for possibly lying to Congress about his role in the operation.) Jones, in turn, reached out to his former colleagues at the FBI, who reopened the investigation into the old allegations of a cyber-link between Trump and Alfa Bank.
