Peloton has been accused of blocking users from using the #LetsGoBrandon tag on its platforms because it 'does not meet guidelines'.

The fitness company, famous for its spin bikes, gives members access to a Peloton App where they can post their workout along with tags to connect with other Peloton users with similar interests.

However, Peloton appears to have banned the use of the tag #LetsGoBrandon and sends an error message when the anti-Biden hashtag is used on their app, according to screenshots from PJ Media

The phrase Let's Go Brandon was sparked after a reporter mistook chants of 'f*** Joe Biden' at a NASCAR rally in October for the more benign phrase, and it has since become a running joke among Biden critics, and used to mock the president.

The screenshot from the Peloton app shows that when the phrase is typed in, it returns the words: 'This tag does not meet our guidelines.'

It is not clear how #LetsGoBrandon violates Peloton's community guidelines as other political hashtags critical of President Biden such as #ImpeachBiden and  #WomenForTrump are permitted on the platform along with left-wing tags including #BlackLivesMatter and #DefundThePolice.

In recent figures, Peloton reported 2.49 million connected fitness subscribers, or those who own a Peloton product and pay a monthly fee to access the company's digital workout content.

MailOnline has reached out to Peloton for comment.

Peloton customers were not impressed when they discovered the use of the 'Let's Go Brandon' tag was blocked on the app, with some saying they had canceled their subscription as a result.

One woman wrote: 'My husband canceled our Peloton subscription because they banned the use of the tag 'Let’s go Brandon'... That’s fine… I love running.'

Another Twitter user named Mike slammed the Peloton ban, writing: '@onepeloton Banning freedom of expression, not a smart move, I guess that’s why your stock tanked, another easy decision for me, won’t be purchasing your product.. Let’s Go Brandon!'

The 'Let's Go Brandon!' phrase became an internet sensation last month and references an incident on October 2 where NASCAR fans chanted 'F**k Joe Biden'.

NBC reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing driver Brandon Brown when she allegedly misheard the crowd and said they were yelling 'Let's Go Brandon!' - however, Biden critics believed the reporter purposely tried to censor the crowd.

Since the NASCAR incident, 'Let's Go Brandon!' has become shorthand for 'F**k Joe Biden' on social media, with many using the hashtag #LetsGoBrandon to criticize the President.

The phrase has gained viral cultural status with three versions of a song titled 'Let's Go Brandon' entering the iTunes top 10 charts last month, and two taking the top spots.

Conservative rapper Bryson Gray’s 'Let’s Go Brandon' made it to number one in October, despite being banned by YouTube for spreading 'harmful false information' about Covid, and rapper Loza Alexander’s version came in at number two.

She captioned the photo: 'It's not a phrase, it's a movement!'.

The style of the dress and where the phrase was placed mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s now-infamous 'Tax the Rich' dress that the New York Democrat and Squad member wore to the Met Gala in September.
