A Utah county has jazzed up its COVID-19 data by breaking down vaccination rates by zodiac signs in an attempt to combat information fatigue.

The Salt Lake County Health Department tracked the number of residents vaccinated by date of birth and found that Leos have a full 70 percent vaccination rate while Scorpios were at the bottom of the list at 46 percent.

'Now that Mercury is not in retrograde, we're just going to leave this here... (and yes, this is based on data),' the Salt Lake Health tweeted on Tuesday while sharing a chart with its findings.

Aquarians were the second most vaccinated sign in the county at 67 percent while the others fell somewhere in the 50 percent range — except for Scorpios, arguably the most hated sign in the zodiac.

With a 46 percent vaccination rate, Scorpios were right below Virgos at 50 percent.

The Salt Lake County Health Department included a disclaimer at the bottom of the chart, writing: 'The COVID-19 vaccine is backed by science and is in no way influenced by horoscopes. But come on Scorpios!'

Astrology is considered a pseudoscience, so it should come as no surprise that the reaction to the data was mixed. But it got both fans and critics alike sharing their thoughts in the comments.

'Holy hell people. You change the denominator and are surprised? Scorpios are the most common sign, Leos the least. You are simply taking a constant and changing the denominator,' one Twitter user griped.

But the department stood by its decision, explaining: 'What we're really doing is finding new and different ways to keep our community talking about vaccination when there is significant message fatigue around the topic.'

Some tried to claim that it was 'misinformation,' but others argued that whether or not you believe in astrology, the data was technically correct.

'I don't believe in astrology at all, but this is not misinformation,' a fellow naysayer explained. 'It's just information you don't find useful and I agree with you there too. But that's not the same thing.'

Another critic sarcastically tweeted that 'our forefathers died so that our tax dollars would be used for this,' prompting a cutting follow-up response from the department.

'We don't think it a waste to find new and different ways to help the community continue talking about vaccination when there is significant fatigue around vaccine messaging,' Salt Lake Health wrote back. 'And it took less time to do than it took you to complain about it here.'

There were also a number of Twitter users who were amused by the chart and appreciated the department's efforts.

'A Leo must have made this graphic,' one person joked, while another added: 'Aquarian would be top except we were too busy flirting with the medical professionals.'

'I don't believe in astrology. I'm a Taurus and we're not superstitious,' someone else commented. 'But I *do* know scores of Scorpios and their low vaccination rates do not surprise me.'
