The FBI on Tuesday confirmed the dead body found in a “very remote” area in the Grand Teton National Park on Sunday is indeed 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
Petito and her fiancé, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie, were on a cross-country trip from New York to Oregon when 22-year-old Gabby disappeared.
A witness tipped off law enforcement and said they saw the white 2012 Ford Transit the two were traveling in near Spread Creek on August 27.
Petito’s family reported Gabby missing on September 11, a couple of weeks after she last spoke with her mom.
In a bizarre twist, police bodycam footage from August 12 released showed Gabby Petito crying over a fight she had with Laundrie shortly before she disappeared.
Brian Laundrie is currently on the run and has seemingly disappeared.
The FBI raided Laundrie’s parent’s home this week.
There is an ongoing manhunt for Brian Laundrie.
Joy Reid is now using this tragedy experienced by both families to push bogus race narratives
On her show, she acknowledges that “no family should ever have to endure that kind of pain”.
She then victimizes the black community over this incident, saying the attention this story is getting “has many wondering why not the same media attention when people of color go missing?”
Reid: Well the answer actually has a name. “Missing White Woman Syndrome”, the term coined by the late and great Gwen Ifill, to describe the media and public fascination with missing white women.
She goes on to describe the case of Daniel Robinson, a black man who went missing in Buckeye, Arizona.
Reid: Daniel Robinson is a young black man, who’s only 24 years old, 5’8″, 165lbs, black hair, brown eyes, that’s his description. His dad has hired a private investigator to find him. He’s missing part of an arm. He was last seen driving away from his job site in the Buckeye, Arizona desert on June 23. And his case struck me because it’s very similar. He’s missing in the same part of the world. It’s a case that has all of that same kind of sizzle, the mystery of it.
