NCAA golfer speaks from hospital about severe heart condition from COVID Vaccine, blasts mandates

From a hospital bed, an otherwise healthy Division 1 university athlete and classroom star has taken to social media with a somber warning apparently based on personal experience about the potential side effects of the coronavirus double jab that could signal the end of his sports participation.

Golfer John Stokes of Tennessee State University began his TikTok video with the preamble that “I am in the hospital right now with heart complications from the COVID-19 vaccine.” He also insisted that he is not alone in suffering this kind of  cardiac-related outcome.

“And I want to inform as many people as I can about the risks from taking the vaccine that I wish someone would have told me,” he continued, adding that he was free of any prior health issues.

“I got the second COVID shot Tuesday, and within four days, I have been diagnosed with myocarditis, and was told that I probably won’t be able to play my senior season now. It is a side effect from the COVID vaccine, and it’s really not being reported or addressed,” Stokes, 21, who reportedly received an academic medal of honor, claimed.

“It is a serious issue that we should all be informed about before making this decision. It isn’t right for people to be forced to take the vaccine because there are actual side effects like this that could happen to you, and the NCAA should not mandate student-athletes to get the vaccine because of what could happen to many…athletes — health issues — which has happened to me.”

“Everyone should be informed of the side effects, and no one should be forced to take something that could cause what has happened to me, and no one knows the long-term effects of what’s possibly gonna happen from this.

“It’s kind of uncharted territories because everyone else with the same heart issues from the vaccine as me, we’re all being tracked and monitored; we’re basically like test subjects…”

“It’s a very serious issue that really needs to be spread. And I’ve spoken with some other student-athletes that have also had to have either heart surgery or have had heart issues from this, and it’s very serious stuff. And a lot of people in our age group apparently are at high risk for heart issues from the vaccine, and it really does need to be talked about,” Stokes concluded in the TikTok video.

The media/political establishment, including Big Tech, and public health officials, which generally tend to frown on discussions about the safety or efficacy of the COVID vaccine, tend to push anyone who raises good-faith questions about it into the anti-vax camp.

In a written message adjacent to the footage, Stokes underscored, however, the need for full disclosure: “I understand the benefits of the vaccine; however, this is not right what is happening to people getting vaccinated without being informed.”

Parenthetically, earlier this summer, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory about the apparent “increased risks of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart) following vaccination” from the Moderna or Pfizer doses.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association appears to strongly encourage COVID vaccinations for athletes in conjunction with any federal, state, or local government protocols that may apply. “COVID-19 vaccination remains the most effective means to achieve control of the pandemic,” the NCAA indicated last month.

Although generally healthy young adults are often said to be in a low-risk cohort for the virus, many colleges are requiring the vaccine for every student as a condition of returning to campus.

Earlier this month, a Canadian ethics professor suggested that a vaccine mandate for university faculty, staff, or students is a violation of Ethics 101.
