Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi is the latest political leader caught out partying maskless with friends while forbidding the little people the same freedoms.
Blangiari moved to Hawaii in 2002 and formed Hawaii News Now after the 2008 recession. In January 2021 Blangiari, an independent, was sworn into office as Honolulu mayor.
On September 15, Mayor Rick Blangiardi, went to Restaurant Mediterraneo on King St. to celebrate his birthday. Just a few weeks ago this man stood on a podium and announced that Hawaii residents would be restricted to groups of no more than 10 people. HPD enforced this restriction during Labor Day weekend carrying citation books and issuing some folks excessive fines.
Mayor Blangiardi on the other hand seemed to think he was above his own mandate that he imposed on the people of Hawaii.
Abrien Aguirre was outside the restaurant with a camera and caught the mayor and his friends in the street when they were leaving the restaurant.
