On Monday, Fox Business host Trish Regan unloaded on the liberal media and elected Democrats for using the coronavirus to harm President Donald Trump and hurting millions of Americans in the process.
“The chorus of hate being leveled at the president is nearing a crescendo as Democrats blame him, and only him, for a virus that originated halfway around the world,” Regan opened up the fiery segment.
“This is yet another attempt to impeach the president,” the host accused. “And sadly, it seems they care very little for any of the destruction they are leaving in their wake, losses in the stock market; all this, unfortunately, just part of the political casualties for them.”
“You know, this is the time to be united, not to be pointing fingers, not to be encouraging hate, and yet what do we see? We see the absolute opposite from the Left tonight!”
“The heat is boiling over many in the liberal media, using and I mean using coronavirus in an attempt to demonize and destroy the president,” Regan continued, cutting to a montage of left-wing politicos knocking Donald Trump over the viral outbreak.
The Fox Business host said the Left is indifferent about “who they hurt, whether it be their need to create mass hysteria to encourage a market sell-off unlike anything we’ve seen recently, or whether it be to create mass hysteria in order to stop our economy dead in its tracks.”
“Don’t kid yourself,” Regan continued, “they told us how much they crave a recession to get rid of Donald Trump.”
Liberals have gone on record cheering on a recession or voicing ambivalence about a potential economic collapse if it means a defeat against President Trump, The Atlantic, a left-leaning outlet, outlined in 2019.
For example, HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher told an anti-Trump conservative guest that he should “wish for a recession,” just as he does, because “that will definitely get [Trump] unelected.”
Maher later added that he “really” does want a recession, noting, “We have survived many recessions. We can’t survive another Donald Trump term.”
Regan continued blasting the Left: “Of course, these are people’s jobs that the Left does not mind seeing them lose, these are people’s 401ks that are being decimated. And that’s okay with them? That’s okay with the Left?” she questioned.
“In some ways, they seem to almost be cheering it on,” the host said. “This is impeachment all over again.”
As noted by The Washington Times, thus far, the coronavirus has infected more than 700 people in over 30 states and killed nearly 30 people, the Johns Hopkins University tracker estimates.
Vice President Mike Pence, tapped to help lead the efforts in combating the virus, announced Tuesday that the Trump administration has clinched major health insurance companies to waive copays on coronavirus testing.
“I’m pleased to report that as you requested, Mr. President, that all the insurance companies here, either today, or before today, have agreed to waive all copays on coronavirus testing, and extend coverage for coronavirus treatment in all of their benefit plans,” Pence announced during a meeting with President Donald Trump and insurance CEOs, according to The Hill.
“We’ve reached a tipping point,” Regan captioned a post of her segment. “The chorus of hate being leveled at [President Trump] is nearing a crescendo as [Democrats] blame him—and only him—for [Coronavirus] – a [virus] that originated halfway around the world!”
“This is yet another attempt to [impeach] THE PRESIDENT,” she added.
