Apparently likening President Donald Trump to a drug or alcohol abuser, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday she hopes Trump’s family stages “an intervention for the good of the country.”
And even for Pelosi, it was crossing the line.
Trump and Pelosi spent Wednesday and Thursday engaging in verbal sparring after the president walked out of a scheduled meeting with Democrat leadership on Wednesday.
Pelosi told reporters that Trump was engaged in a “cover-up” before the Wednesday meeting, which prompted Trump’s walkout.
After Trump ended the meeting, Pelosi told reporters that she is going to “pray for the President of the United States.”

Trump fired back on Twitter and sarcastically thanked Pelosi for her prayer comments, implying that she was being disingenuous.
“Democrat leadership is tearing the United States apart, but I will continue to set records for the American People – and Nancy, thank you so much for your prayers, I know you truly mean it!” Trump tweeted.

Pelosi escalated her attacks on Thursday by telling a news conference she hopes Trump’s family holds an intervention.
“I pray for the President of the United States. I wish that his family or his administration or his staff would have an intervention for the good of the country.”
Pelosi’s words go beyond a difference in politics — this was a vicious, personal attack. Interventions are held for people with drug and alcohol problems, mental health issues or self-destructive tendencies.
Trump doesn’t drink and isn’t a drug addict. And the only thing he’s destroyed is the unemployment rate.
But since Trump was elected, some Democrats have suggested invoking the 25th Amendment and removing the president for mental health concerns, despite Trump’s doctors insisting that he’s perfectly healthy.
Trump doesn’t need an intervention, and as his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., pointed out, it’s unlikely that Pelosi is actually praying for Trump.
“I don’t think the party of infanticide is praying for anyone,” Trump Jr. said Thursday on Fox News.
Instead of an “intervention” for Trump, perhaps Democrats need an intervention.
Their policies and attacks are becoming more sickening with each passing day.
Pelosi 78 years of age can barely read a teleprompter. I'd be willing to bet good money that at 8AM any day of the week Pelosi's breathalyzer reading would qualify her as being thrice the legal limit. This acting out Soap Opera Bull$hit has gone far enough. Random unannounced surprise breathalyzer tests all around and publish results. This goes for everyone regardless of party affiliation. Even Bernie (I). Just me opinion.
