That gets it EXACTLY right! Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner.

Sir, I'm 71, I learned all this in Junior/Senior High School 1960-66. I'm appalled that many people, especially Democrat, don't know this basic knowledge of our Republican form of government.
A constitutional republic is an attempt to limit the dangers which result from a simple majority rule. The constitution limits the power of each officeholder, and protects rights of minorities from the "tyranny of the majority". Wikipedia
There is a reason the Federal govt can't get much done. Its by design. Founding fathers didn't believe govt should be doing much... certainly not running education, healthcare, etc. They did however ASSUME they'd be able to agree on common sense measures like border security.smh
Madison and Hamilton warned us of the tyranny of the majority.
Electoral College was amongst their best ideas.
Not everyone was excited about the history lesson James just gave to Democrats:
