Parents have an incredible talent for embarrassing their children despite their good intentions.
And three American brothers are in for a surprise when they land in New Zealand next week after their father Neil secretly placed a dating ad in a newspaper seeking Kiwi suitors for his sons.
'Hello Parents. We are from the States (Oregon), visiting your beautiful country. My wife and I have three wonderful, successful, handsome, alas unmarried, sons between the ages of 28-32,' the ad read.
'We are not expecting, just hoping, to introduce our sons to nice NZ daughters. At the very least, we'll embarrass our sons, and the truth is we do find some enjoyment in that.'
Speaking to NZ Herald, Neil said he wanted to set his single sons up on blind dates in the hope of the trio potentially developing 'lasting, permanent relationships'.
'I have never done anything like this before and they don't know. They are clueless, which I love,' the father-of-three said.
Single ladies wanted: American father Neil placed a classifieds ad in a New Zealand newspaper seeking Kiwi suitors for his single sons - Benjamin, 26, Jeremy, 28, and Matthew, 31

Since placing the ad, the father said he has received more than 200 responses.
His single sons are still unaware of their father's hilarious ad but Neil provided a brief description for any single women who's interested.
Benjamin, 26, is Neil's youngest son and he works as a consultant in Seattle. His middle son Jeremy, 28, works for not-for-profit organisations while his eldest Matthew, 31, works in real estate in Portland.
The father said he still hasn't decided whether to break the news to their sons about the ad during their flight to NZ or when they land.
'I might say "oh by the way I did place a little ad for you guys", he said, laughing.
'I am sure they will be surprised and annoyed, but I am sure they will laugh. We have a good relationship and are always joking with each other. They know I am a little unusual in that regard.'
An American couple have shared an advertisement desperately seeking Kiwi suitors for their three unmarried sons on their upcoming holiday in New Zealand
The family will be in the country from Boxing Day through to January 7.
The advertisement went viral on social media, with many Kiwis offering the father helpful hints as to where he might find the most suitable women.
Others are demanding answers as to why the men are still single.
The public plea was signed off with the father's email address with the hopes that suitable candidates may get in touch.
