‘Disgrace’: Megyn Kelly Slams Win By Transgender Cyclist In NYC Women’s Race, Issues Challenge To College Male Athletes

Megyn Kelly slammed the win by a biological male cyclist — who identifies as transgender-in the New York City women’s race and issued a challenge to college male athletes to put an end to this “disgrace.”

The host of the Sirius XM “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast on Thursday took to Twitter to express her frustration in the “farce” of yet another win by a biological male in a competition designed for women.

“I am begging — begging — any college male tennis player to put an end to this farce by declaring yourself trans & playing/easily winning women’s pro tennis tournaments,” Kelly tweeted to her 2.7 million followers.

“All it will take is one biological male to win women’s Wimbledon, French Open, etc for this disgrace to end,” she added.

The former Fox News host’s post included a retweet of the New York Post headline that read, “Transgender cyclist wins NYC women’s race days after other rider quits in anger at title loss.” The story focused on the win by a biological male who goes by the name of Tiffany Thomas. Thomas is 47, and the rider’s 20th win in a race came over the weekend at the Randall’s Island Crit. Thomas only started racing in 2018.

Included in the piece were comments from fellow female champion cyclocross rider Hannah Arensman, who has announced she quit the sport after being forced to compete against biological men in a sport for women.

“I have decided to end my cycling career,” Arensman said in a recent statement included in a Supreme Court filing over the issue.

Arensman wrote that it “has become increasingly discouraging to train as hard as I do only to have to lose to a man with the unfair advantage of an androgenized body that intrinsically gives him an obvious advantage over me, no matter how hard I train.”

The podcast host has been very vocal in the past about her opposition to biological men — who identify as trans — competing in women’s sports. In 2022, Kelly spoke out against biological male trans swimmer Lia Thomas and issued a scathing rebuke of the University of Pennsylvania after it had nominated Thomas for NCAA’s “Woman of the Year.”

“Lia Thomas is not woman of the year,” Kelly said, at one point. “That title belongs to one of the women who dealt with all the physical and emotional challenges and opportunities that come with being an actual woman … Not to a six-foot-three biological man who, within the last two years, declared that he was a woman. Period.”
