Social media users are mocking Chanel for selling an $825 advent calendar that is filled with 'junk' gifts like a magnet, a pin, a keychain, and stickers.

The luxury designer debuted the advent calendar in celebration of its 100th anniversary in October, but fashion fans began taking notice last week as several TikTok users shared videos revealing what is inside.

Elise Harmon, who goes by the username @eliseharmon on TikTok, has racked up over 14.7 million views so far for her first unboxing video, and has gone on to spotlight what's behind each door of the calendar - including a mirror, a plastic bracelet, and a paperweight.

While many viewers imagined that such a pricey gift would include high end products, critics have slammed Chanel and accused the company of 'scamming' their customers for charging more than $800 for a 'box of junk.'

'Am I crazy? Absolutely, but I've never seen a Chanel advent calendar so let's see if it's worth the hype,' Elise said in a video of herself unboxing the calendar, which was shaped like a giant bottle of perfume.

'I guess we'll give them a 10/10 on the packaging front.'

But it went downhill from there. Oddly, the box start at number five instead of number one, and go up to 31 instead of 25.

She said number nine looked 'promising' since the box for it was kind of big, so she decided to open that one first.

But Elise was left disappointed when she realized it was just a sheet of stickers that had the brand's logo on them.

'This is a joke,' she said. 'Stickers?'

She then decided to open another one since she was so upset, hoping to uncover something better. This time, she got a small tube of their hand cream.

Right away, people started to flood the comment section with their reactions, with one person writing, '$800+ for stickers and a travel-sized moisturizer, can't imagine what else is in there.'

'The audacity of stickers,' another added. A third user commented, 'These are just the complimentary samples that you get when you place an order.'

Someone else said: '$850 was spent on packaging, $25 for everything else.'

Elise continued to post more videos of herself opening each day up, one by one.

Other gifts included a small carton of body cream and a flipbook.

'I'm pretty sure this is enough cream for my left arm,' Elise joked. 'But it's very cute.'

The TikToker was delighted when she opened up number 20 and it was a Chanel lipstick - but her excitement was cut short when she unboxed number 18 and got more stickers.

Other gifts included a money clip, perfume, a pin, a tiny snow globe, red nail polish, another lipstick, a small pocket mirror, a paperweight, more stickers, a small magnet, a keychain, and a plastic bracelet.

'It's giving plastic bottle cap, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen vibes,' she said of the bracelet.

On its website, Chanel describes the advent calendar as a 'first-of-its-kind,' with 'mysterious delights and surprises.'

'To celebrate the holiday season and mark 100 years of the legendary fragrance, CHANEL presents a first-of-its-kind calendar crafted in the timeless silhouette of the N°5 flacon,' the description reads.

'Count down to the holidays with this collector’s item featuring 27 boxes numbered from five to 31, filled with mysterious delights and surprises. A piece to treasure for years to come.

After posting the videos, Elise claimed that Chanel blocked her, and even recorded herself throwing one of her Chanel purses into the garbage.

'I just wanted to check in and let everyone know, Chanel just blocked me,' she said. 'They blocked me. What's not clicking, Chanel? Something's wrong.'

More comments read: 'They straight up mixed samples with office supplies, huh?' and 'Chanel's social media team will never recover from this.'

'Girl they really scammed you,' someone else wrote.

Another person added, 'Bestie, this has to be stuff they found around the warehouse.'

'Girl, if you don't return this box of junk...' one final message read.

Another TikToker, named Charles Gross, responded to Elise's videos and called the items 'less than satisfactory.'

'If I were to buy this $825 advent calendar without looking at its contents on the Chanel website or anywhere else online, I would be severely disappointed,' he said.

'My biggest question is, what was Chanel thinking about the price? This advent calendar isn't all bad, but I see it more as a promotional item given away at pop-ups ... or priced somewhere between $50-$100.'

'This is not okay,' he captioned his video.
