The judge in the Kyle Rittenhouse case called a break this morning in Kyle’s testimony in his own defense during his murder trial against him for killing two and injuring one in Kenosha, WI during the violent BLM riots.
Rittenhouse was 17 at the time he went to Kenosha from his home state of Illinois to help protect property from BLM rioters who were looting and burning businesses to the ground.
Rittenhouse admitted that he fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum after Rosenbaum chased him and put his hand on the barrel of his rifle. The 17-yr-old also shot and killed Anthony Huber after Huber struck him in the neck with a skateboard and grabbed his rifle.
The third victim, Gaige Grosskreutz testified on Monday that he pointed his loaded gun at Rittenhouse before the young man shot him.
NYP reports – “I didn’t intend to kill them, I intended to stop the people who were attacking me,” Rittenhouse said.
The emotionally charged testimony prompted the judge to call a break, as Rittenhouse’s mother also cried in the gallery.
Rittenhouse testified that Rosenbaum had threatened to kill him twice the night of the triple shooting.
Under cross-examination, Rittenhouse was defiant that he didn’t intend to kill any of the three victims.
“I didn’t intend to kill them. I intended to stop the people who were attacking me,” Rittenhouse told jurors. “I did what I had to do to stop the person who was attacking me by killing them.”
Kyle’s mother can be seen breaking down as well during her 18-year-old son’s tearful testimony.
