In an almost unbelievable moment, if you didn’t see and hear it with your own eyes and ears, Democratic Party nominee for president Joe Biden made the absurd and bizarre claim that minimum wage fast food workers are being forced to sign non-compete agreements because they are not represented by a union.
He even claimed that workers could not quit their job at McDonalds and go to work at Burger King because of these non-compete agreements.
“Well, you know, all of a sudden they found out you had — you had thousands of employees making an hourly wage having to sign noncompete agreements,” Biden said.
“So if you worked at Burger King, you had to sign a noncompete agreement. You would not go across the town to McDonald’s to try to get five more cents in your hourly wage,” he added. “All designed to do nothing just to keep wages down.”
“It’s not like you had a secret that was consequential and you couldn’t give away that secret because it’s a high tech industry to another industry you go to work for. These are people making an hourly wage, just doing — just — just their job. And they were told they could not even bargain for themselves let alone have a union do it.”
Joe Biden clearly needs to have his head examined his brain has quite obviously turned to jello.
Maybe that’s being generous, former Vice-President Joe Biden’s brain has turned to mush and allowing his campaign to continue is elder abuse.
