Armed? Check. Crossing police line? Check. Destruction of state property? Check. Tear gas, beatings, rioting? No. What could the difference be? (Picture)

A few highlights:

In 2014 dozens of protesters were arrested in the State House for peacefully blocking access to the Senate chamber. They were protesting for LGBTQ rights.

Police decided they couldn't arrest anybody without "escalating violence". Weird how often they're willing to do that with other protesters.
