AOC Flips Out On Male CNN Reporter Over Warren Scoop On Pay. Here's The Problem.

On Thursday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) ridiculed CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski and suggested he was sexist after he posted a report outlining Sen. Elizabeth Warren's big paychecks as a lawyer.

But Ocasio-Cortez’s freak-out was misdirected: Kaczynski did not write the article (which AOC apparently did not read), but two female reporters from The Washington Post did. And while the piece was rather pointless, it wasn’t an attack on Warren, though Ocasio-Cortez is usually the one vilifying folks for making big money.
“Sen. Elizabeth Warren worked on more than 50 legal matters during her career as a professor at Ivy League law schools, charging as much as $675 an hour to advise a variety of clients, from people with asbestos disease to a corporation facing possible liability over ruptured breast implants,” said The Washinton Post article shared by Kaczynski.
"While teaching, Elizabeth Warren worked on more than 50 legal matters, charging as much as $675 an hour,” the CNN reporter captioned his post.
“BREAKING NEWS: Lady Had A Job, Got Paid More Than Me,” wrote an angry AOC. “Nice work.”
“Now do the amount of Wall Street, Big Pharma, & Fossil Fuel presidential candidates accepted over their careers & how much they’re taking now,” she added, again implying it was Kaczynski’s “sexist” scoop when he didn’t even write the report.
Washington Free Beacon reporter Alex Griswold highlighted the idiocy of AOC’s trigger-happy tweeting.
“AOC tweeted at a male reporter and strongly implied sexism was his motive for the piece,” he explained. “In fact it wasn't his piece. In fact, the piece was written by two women.”
Griswold noted that it’s “a pretty low bar for most people, and most people are not freaking U.S. Representative” to actually click the link of an article they’re commenting on.
As highlighted by Twitchy, others commented on the problems with the freshman Congresswoman’s tweet, including her typical disdain for “the rich.”
“BREAKING NEWS: Communist Who Considers Wealth a ‘Policy Failure,’ & ‘White Supremacy’ Nation's Biggest Threat, Exempts Perpetrator of Racist Fraud b/c She's Female,” said radio host Ben Crystal.
“Is Elizabeth Warren a smart, hard-working woman who deserves to be compensated at 80X the minimum wage, or is she an exploitative wage-thieving capitalist? Did she pay her 'fair share' of taxes, or no?” asked popular political Twitter account @notwokieleaks. “Why defend Warren here while calling most other high-earners monsters?”
“He didn’t write the article. 2 WaPo women reporters did & the article does everything it can to flatteringly portray her work on Chapter 11 bankruptcy creditor committees. There is, literally, no attack in the entire piece,” another Twitter user noted.
In March, it was reported that a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission alleged Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti funneled over $1 million in political donations to private companies he owned.
“The cash transfers from the PACs — overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat's chief of staff — run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of ‘dark money’ in politics,” The Washington Examiner reported. “Chakrabarti's companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how the political donations were used.”
