Somali-born St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Mayor Nadia Mohamed, is pushing for an eviction moratorium for illegal aliens who are scared to leave their homes due to immigration enforcement operations in the state.
Mohamed filmed her call for the eviction moratorium in a bizarre video that’s now gone viral.
Filmed from her car with her mother in tow, Mohamed describes how fear of deportation is keeping immigrants, illegal and legal, hiding at home, and therefore unable to work and pay rent.
“This is how bad things are getting here in Minnesota,” Mohamed says in the clip, explaining that her mom refuses to leave the house without an escort, even with her passport in hand.
“Many Minnesotans, whether they’re documented or not, who are too afraid to leave their house because they’re too afraid they’re not able to go to work,” the mayor states.
The far-left mayor pushes for policies such as halting eviction proceedings and requiring landlords to give 30 days’ notice before initiating evictions, while promoting donations to groups like STEP (St. Louis Park Emergency Program) for rental assistance.
The video, which went viral after being posted on X by Libs of TikTok, has sparked outrage amongst Americans who are fed up with politicians prioritizing illegal aliens over actual citizens, as obviously, eviction moratoriums hurt property owners.

In 2023, she became the first Somali-born mayor in the United States.
Thank you I guess…. Yes, our officers don’t enforce immigration laws. I’m glad more people now know where we stand on this https://t.co/t6JfTugvUD
