Texas Gov. and proud Zionist Greg Abbott is destroying the First Amendment in the Lone Star State, one edict about "antisemitism" at a time.

From now on, anyone who is caught saying the "wrong" things on a Texas college or university campus can be reported to law enforcement for "antisemitic" speech, specifically if they utter the phrase "from the river to the sea."

Back in March, Abbott signed an executive order (EO) to require "all higher education institutions in Texas" to "review their free speech policies" in order to "establish appropriate punishments for antisemitic rhetoric." Consequently, school administrators are threatening student protesters with police abuse if they speak out of turn.

At The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), administrators filmed themselves chiding students for allegedly violating the EO, which is likely to be challenged in court for violating the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

According to Abbott, his unconstitutional free speech restrictions are necessary in order to create a "safe space" for Jewish students on college and university campuses across Texas.

The person filming the above video is LT Robinson, UTSA's Senior Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

Republicans cherry-pick the Constitution

Prior to this whole Israel-Hamas saga, Texas was one of those right-wing "red" states that pretended to champion free speech, at least as long as it was about things that the GOP supports. Now, the tables have turned as the world learns the ugly truth about the Israeli deep state.

Longstanding Texas law states unequivocally that free speech in protests "is of critical importance," adding that it should be "free, robust and uninhibited" – so what happened?

One silver lining in all this for free speech in Texas is that CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) is suing Abbott and various university officials for violating the First Amendment rights of student protesters who, whether you like what they are saying or not, have a right to say it under the Constitution.

Just because some people do not like what these student protesters are saying does not mean that their voices can be silenced like this, at least not if the Constitution holds any weight. Republicans have long claimed to be champions of the Constitution, so their feet need to be held to the fire on this issue.

It is not just Republicans, though. There are some Democrats, albeit much fewer of them, who are also owned by AIPAC and the rest of the Zionist lobby. And ever since October 7, or what you might call "Gaza's 9/11," they are all showing their true colors in a cringeworthy display of anti-free speech fascism.

Other right-wing states that are passing anti-free speech bills in the name of stopping "antisemitism" include South Dakota, Georgia and Florida.
