With a long history of corporate espionage, and countless examples of corporations buying competing companies patents in order to suppress a new technology that would put them out of business, why do people believe a for profit healthcare system would even come close to having their well being in mind? Doctors no longer run hospitals. Businessmen do. And to them you are nothing more than a dollar sign. suppressing good healthcare and cures is nothing more to them than increasing their profits.
This country holds your future hostage behind a paywall that should be spent on a young persons new life. instead of buying a new house, you pay a ransom for future they lied to you about. Only 20% of the jobs in America require a college degree. They give you money and tell you to pay it back when you get a job that doesn't exist.
Any country that cared about it's citizens and bettering itself in preparation for the future would want an educated population. An educated population means higher production and faster technological advancement.
