Joe Biden’s policies are putting kids in cages and in coffins.

A 9-year-old Mexican girl drown this week trying to swim across the Rio Grande river with her mother after Joe Biden encouraged illegal aliens to “surge” the border.

The New York Post reported:

A 9-year-old Mexican girl drowned while trying to cross the Rio Grande into Texas this week with her family, according to federal officials.

The girl had been crossing into the country at Eagle Pass on Saturday with her mother and 3-year-old brother when all three began struggling in the water, a Customs and Border Protection spokesman told The Post on Friday.

All three migrants were unconscious and had washed ashore onto an island in the river when bystanders flagged down nearby Border Patrol agents, said the spokesman, Dennis Smith.

The agents, who were patrolling the Rio Grande in the area, began administering first aid as they brought the migrants to shore.

There, they were joined by Eagle Pass Emergency Medical Services personnel, and were able to revive the mother and the little boy.

But the girl could not be saved. She never regained consciousness and was later pronounced dead, Smith said.

This was the third Mexican migrant to drown in the Rio Grande in less than two weeks.

A local Border Patrol station announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday that two migrants had drowned in the Rio Grande while attempting to illegally enter the United States along the Texas-Mexico border.

The drownings on Tuesday were caught on amateur video released to local media.

A man on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande, Jesus Vargas, who took the video says he witnessed two teenagers and a woman drown. He said he was able to rescue another boy he estimated to be about 13 years old.

Meanwhile the Biden Administration is claiming the border crisis is under control.
