A male prison officer made female inmates perform sex acts on each other as he watched on and masturbated, a shocking new lawsuit alleges.
Colin Akparanta worked at the Manhattan Correctional Center between 2012 and 2018, before he was fired in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations.
Akparanta has been accused of sexually assaulting 14 female prisoners during the course of his career as a prison officer, and he is currently awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to abusing one woman at the MCC in 2017.
However, the new suit, filed Friday, alleges that Alpranta committed even more heinous crimes.
The complaint was filed by three MCC inmates, identified as Karilie Herrera, Franchesca Morales and Carolyn Richardson.
Herrera alleges that Akparanta sexually assaulted her up to four times a week from November 2017 through to December 2018.
Herrera was subsequently moved into the same cell as Morales. Court documents allege that, at that point, Akparanta 'forced Ms. Morales to perform sexual acts on Ms. Herrera and/or their third cellmate in their shared cell while he watched or masturbated'.

The women further claim Akparanta threatened them with solitary confinement if they refused to submit to his perverted demands.
According to the New York Post, Richardson says she was given Chinese food, Subway sandwiches, and gifts after she was abused by Akparanta.

Like Herrera, Richardson says she was assaulted several times a week. She alleges her interactions with Akraparanta became 'increasingly rough'.
The woman claim Akaparanta was able to get away with the crimes by taking them to areas of the prison known as 'The Bubble' because they are away from surveillance cameras.
At other times, Akparanta would allegedly attack Richardson in her cell during late night shifts. It is unclear why those reported instances of assault were not picked up by guards tasked with watching through camera footage.

The suit states that 'the warning signs of his perversion were ample and obvious to any reasonable Bureau Of Prisons personnel' member.
Akraparanta and his lawyer have not publicly commented on the charges.
Back in March, Akparanta admitted using his authority to coerce another female inmate into committing sex acts at the MCC in 2017. He pleaded guilty to felony counts of abusive sexual contact and deprivation of civil rights.
He faces between 37 months and 46 months in prison, under federal sentencing guidelines.
Meanwhile, the prison officer also agreed to pay restitution to more than a half-dozen inmates he was accused of abusing during his tenure at the MCC.
