The siblings' next of kin has been informed and authorities announced that Jaramillo-Hernandez would be charged.

On Friday afternoon police received a 911 call about a woman who had cut herself and when officers arrived at the house they found the injured mother and the bodies of the two young children.

Preliminary stages of the investigation indicate that 'Jaramillo-Hernandez killed the children with a knife and then turned the knife on herself, resulting in serious injuries,' the sheriff's office said.

The mother was transported to a medical center after she was found at the house at around 2pm.

She will be formally charged after doctors finish treating her injuries.

It was not immediately clear if Jaramillo-Hernandez has an attorney.

On Friday, before the mother was named as a suspect, the sheriff's office said that the incident was isolated and it was not seeking any other suspects.

'There is no danger to the community as a result of the incident,' the sheriff's office said.

Investigation are ongoing.
