There are those who make things happen, and there are those who wonder ‘what the fuck just happened?’. Gabriel Brawn, from Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, is certainly someone who makes things happen – by cutting his neighbor’s garage in half with a Sawzall.

In 2012, Gabriel and his family moved back to Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, to live on the property where he grew up. The land had once included an extra 0.23 acres just to the south where the neighbor’s garage currently stood, and there were no records that the property had been sold.
According to Gabriel’s wife, they were always on friendly terms with the man who built the garage next-door and never had any issues letting him share the land that they owned.

After multiple confrontations with Steve’s son, Gabriel decided to have a land surveyor come out and confirm that the land was rightfully his…and that’s when things turned sour. The new neighbor, Blake, asked if he could retrieve his father’s ashes from the garage that marked the dividing line.

For Gabriel, that was the final straw. The very next day, Gabriel — who works in construction — took a Sawzall and cut straight down the half of the garage that was on his family’s property.

According to Police Chief Ryan Reardon, “There’s been a property-line dispute for a couple of months and obviously that was the result between Mr. Brawn and the owner of the other building.”
