It's not rocket science, the R naught or transmission rate of covid-19 can be defeated by just wearing a mask. China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong have flatten the curve through the prevalent use of mask and heighten hygiene. This is a first hand account as I have friends there and it's very rare to see people walking outside without one. I live in Indonesia, where people discipline is lacking and people trust conspiracy theorist more than the government... As such in South East Asia, we have the highest covid-19 infection and death rate.
According to the chart, even if a mask at 50% effective rate (something like a cotton handkerchief) is worn by 70% of the population will be effective to stop covid-19.
Please wear a mask, this is not about you, it's about us.
