Proceeds from the concert are to be donated to the First Responders Children's Foundation, which helps families of first responders in need amid the mounting crisis.
The funds raised will also go to the hunger relief charity Feeding America, which provides aid to food banks all over the country that serve the underprivileged.
Sunday night's opening act was Alicia Keys, who wore an understated ensemble of a white tee, dark trousers and glamorous hoops as she performed from her sitting room.
'This song is like a prayer, and I hope that we remember how resilient we are and how we defy the odds,' said Alicia while sitting at a purple upright piano.
