Donald Trump has urged the Queen to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of all their royal titles as he described the Duke of Sussex as being 'whipped like no person I think I've ever seen' and 'led around by his nose'.

The former US president admonished Harry for being 'so disrespectful to the country' and an 'embarrassment' – adding that the Queen should ban him from even visiting her in Britain and tell him: 'Frankly, don't come around.

Mr Trump also said Harry had been 'led down a path' and that he wondered whether the Duke - who stepped down as a senior royal in early 2020 with his American wife - would 'go back on his hands and knees and say "please".'

He claimed is 'not a fan' of Meghan and 'wasn't right from the beginning', telling Piers Morgan on the new channel TalkTV: 'I've been a very good predictor, as you know - I've predicted almost everything. It'll end, and it'll end bad.'

It was Mr Trump's latest attack on the couple, with him having previously spoken of his support for the 96-year-old monarch who hosted him with wife Melania in a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in London in June 2019.

And it comes after Harry and Meghan flew from their home in California and stopped off in England to visit the Queen at Windsor Castle before heading to The Hague in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, which marked their first public appearance together in Europe since quitting as senior working royals more than two years ago.

But Mr Trump told Mr Morgan: 'Harry is whipped - do you know the expression, whipped? I won't use the full expression. But Harry is whipped like no person I think I've ever seen. I'm not a fan of Meghan, I'm not a fan, and I wasn't right from the beginning. I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose.'

In the interview, Mr Morgan asked Mr Trump whether the Queen should strip Harry and Meghan of their royal titles.

Mr Trump responded: ''The only thing I disagree with the Queen on - probably one of the only things ever - is that I think she should have said, if that's your choice, fine, but you no longer have titles, and frankly don't come around. He has been so disrespectful to the country and I think he's an embarrassment.'

The interview saw Mr Trump say that he expected the Sussexes' marriage to end with either Meghan deciding she likes another man better or Harry deciding he did not like being 'bossed around' by the Duchess.

Mr Trump said that he wants to see what happens when the couple split, adding that he thinks they will divorce.

He said: 'I've been a very good predictor, as you know - I've predicted almost everything. It'll end, and it'll end bad. And I wonder if Harry's going to go back on his hands and knees and say 'please'. I think Harry has been led down a path.'

Mr Trump also ripped into Meghan in an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News last year. He said at the time: 'I'm not a fan of hers. I wasn't from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly.

'I think someday he will regret it. He probably does already. I think she's been very disrespectful to the Royal Family, most importantly to the Queen, and I just… from day one I never got it.'

It comes after Mr Trump released an audio recording that seemingly refuted an edited video clip that appeared to show him storming out of a sit-down interview with Mr Morgan.

A 30-second trailer, released on Wednesday, depicted Mr Trump abruptly ending the interview after Mr Morgan challenged Mr Trump's stolen election claims and ordering the crew to 'turn the cameras off' as he gets up from his chair and storms off. 'Very dishonest,' he mutters.

But the audio recording, provided by Mr Trump's spokesman to NBC News, indicates that the interview ended with the two men thanking each other for a 'great interview' and laughing, with no sign of Mr Trump storming off the set.

Mr Trump's communications director Taylor Budowich claimed the video trailer was deceptively edited by splicing audio of Mr Trump saying 'turn the camera off' over video of him standing up, to make it look as if he abruptly cut off the interview.

Mr Morgan recently signed a comprehensive deal with Fox News parent company News Corp - and the trailer was intended to promote an interview airing next week on News Corp outlets around the world.

The sequence depicted in the video matches Mr Morgan's dramatic description in a column for the New York Post, which is also owned by News Corp.

Mr Morgan wrote that the interview ended with Mr Trump 'abruptly jumping to his feet, looking hateful, and barking at the shocked crew: 'TURN THE CAMERAS OFF!''

'Then he turned on his heel, and sloped angrily off through a side door, loudly muttering, 'SO dishonest …' added Mr Morgan.

But according to NBC, the audio provided by the Trump camp shows the interview actually ending with Mr Morgan saying: 'That was a great interview.'

Mr Trump then agreed, saying 'yeah.'

'Thank you very much. I really appreciate it,' Morgan says.

It's at that point in the audio that Mr Trump is heard saying, 'Turn the camera off.'
