One man is dead after a suspect opened fire on him during an altercation at a Houston, Texas, McDonald's restaurant.

The Houston Police Department announced Wednesday that a customer was fatally shot inside the Chinatown area location after having argued with a fellow customer.
According to a report from Newsweek, the unnamed suspect fled the scene after reportedly shooting the customer, who also remains unnamed at the time of this reporting.
Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson, who was at the restaurant during the time of the incident, described the scene as it unfolded.
"The male was a customer at the McDonald's behind me. There was some kind of altercation with another customer; during that altercation the victim was shot," Crowson recalled.
The Houston Police shared a photo from the scene on Wednesday night and captioned it, "Westside officers are at a shooting scene 9600 Westheimer. Adult male deceased at the scene. 202[.]"
What else do we know about this?
KPRC-TV reported that the altercation potentially took place over a restaurant ordering queue, and KRIV-TV in a related report stated that the victim and suspect "were arguing about a spot in line when a fight broke out."
The station's report added that the suspect fired several shots at the victim at the conclusion of the argument, killing him at the scene.
Authorities stated that the witness left the scene on foot.
The suspect — who has yet to be located — was described as wearing grey sweatpants and a matching sweatshirt, and police are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to determine more case facts.
