Chris Cuomo's book Deep Denial has been dropped by publisher Harper Collins following his firing from CNN amid sexual harassment allegations against him, and after it was revealed the great extent to which he'd tried to help his politician brother Andrew out of his sex pest scandal.

The book was due to be published in January. It promised to 'analyze the harsh truths' that were exposed by 'the pandemic and the Trump years' and work out how America could fix itself.

In light of Cuomo's firing, it will not be published by HarperCollins.

Cuomo was fired by CNN on Saturday after growing public outrage over how he'd used his influence as a journalist and connections to investigate some of the women accusing his brother of sexual misconduct.

Now, Chris has also been accused now of sexual harassment by a former colleague from ABC.

CNN announced on Saturday that it was firing Cuomo because after the true extent of his involvement in his brother's sex pest scandal strategy was revealed

He denies the allegations, that were first reported by The New York Times. It remains unclear exactly what he is accused of.

Cuomo had written a book which promised to be 'a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America--about our strength and our character--and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.'

Harper Collins confirmed on Tuesday that it would no longer be publishing the book, which was expected next year.

It's unclear if Cuomo was given an advance, or how much their deal together was worth.

Harper Collins would not confirm those details on Tuesday.

Cuomo, 51, had claimed on-air that he was not intrinsically involved in his brother Andrew's scandal.

But last month, text messages unveiled by Attorney General Letitia James revealed how he played a direct role in advising his brother's team, crafting statements for them and even trying to dig up dirt on his accusers.

'Have a lead on the wedding girl,' said one of his texts to Melissa DeRosa, Cuomo's chief aide.

'The wedding girl' was Anna Ruch, a young woman who'd testified that she was uncomfortable with how Cuomo grabbed her face and asked if he could kiss her at a wedding.

CNN was initially quiet about how it planned to handle the revelations.

While other journalists screamed of the ethical breaches, the network said it was investigating.

Some say it should never have been allowed for Chris Cuomo to have his brother Andrew as a guest on his show in the first place during the pandemic, a time when the older brother was widely condemned for sending thousands of COVID-positive elderly people back into their nursing homes to try to free up hospital beds.

Andrew Cuomo was widely criticized for penning his own, self-congratulatory book during the pandemic before it was over.
