Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday blessed former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik's decision to play ball with the January 6 committee, claiming Kerik comes armed with a 'massive trove of evidence of voter fraud'
'Bernie wants to comply with the subpoena with a public hearing, and asked me to waive attorney-client privilege so Bernie can testify and provide documents, which I grant him,' Trump said in a statement. 'The Unselect Committee will not like what they asked for!'
Kerik was among six witnesses the select committee subpoenaed on November 8, which also included longtime Trump spokesman Jason Miller, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, ex- National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, campaign official Angela McCallum and lawyer John Eastman.

Politico reported Tuesday that Kerik's attorney had informed the committee that his client planned to comply with the subpoena.
'The Unselect Committee issued a subpoena to Bernie Kerik, an American Patriot and great former Police Commissioner of New York City, for its Jan. 6th Witch Hunt, but didn’t realize what they were demanding is a massive trove of evidence of Voter Fraud,' Trump said Wednesday.
'According to Bernie’s lawyer, these documents show significant indicators of fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, but have remained hidden from the public,' the former persident continued.
'It is exactly what the Unselect Committee should be interested in—if this was a real investigation,' he added.
In the aftermath of the election, Kerik joined former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's quest to prove that voter fraud cost Trump the election.
Giuliani came up short and even lost his ability to practice law in New York over the 'false and misleading statements' he made about the election.
'Mr. Kerik reportedly paid for rooms and suites in Washington, D.C. hotels that served as election-related command centers, and also worked with Mr. Rudolph Giuliani to investigate allegations of voter fraud and promote baseless litigation and "Stop the Steal" efforts,' the letter subpoenaing Kerik said.
The 1/6 committee said lawmakers were also interested in speaking to Kerik, claiming he attended a meeting at the Willard Hotel on January 5 alongside Eastman, Trump strategist Steve Bannon and Giuliani, which Kerik's lawyer denies.

In the letter obtained by Politico, Kerik's lawyer Timothy C. Parlatore wrote back to the committee and said Kerik wasn't in attendance at the meeting as he was in New York handling a family medical emergency.
Parlatore shamed committee members for using a Washington Post article and Bob Woodward and Bob Costa's recent book to claim Kerik was present, as neither source said he was there.
'If you were not personally responsible for this fabrication and false statements, then someone on your staff was and should be held accountable,' the letter read. 'Someone either intentionally fabricated this claim, or someone failed at the simple task of carefully reading the sources before writing a letter claiming that the sources "have revealed credible evidence."'
'When someone continuously invites non-compliance in this manner, it gives the distinct impression that the goal was never to have him comply, but rather to cause him to not comply and face indictment, like Mr. Bannon,' the letter continued.
Kerik's attorney then demanded an apology.
'For these reasons, Mr. Kerik demands that both the letter and press release be withdrawn or corrected and an apology issued,' the letter said. 'Whether intentional or negligent, allowing these false statements to stand on the website of this Committee is improper and should be corrected.'
