Comedian Jim Breuer announced via Facebook on September 10th that he will not be performing at any venues requiring proof of vaccination from their patrons. His fans stood in solidarity with him, commenting on his page with overwhelming agreement and pride. So much so, Breuer appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday in furtherance of his message to his fans and Americans in general that individual rights and liberty are paramount.
Speaking with Tucker, the comedian explained precisely why he won’t perform at venues that require attendees to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
“My fans are really upset,” said Breuer. “They said, you know, ‘I’m not comfortable with getting a Covid shot, and now they’re saying I can’t come see you perform unless I do that.’”
Breuer likened vaccine requirements to attend events to tricks a seal might do at an amusement park. “It’s like feeding the seal the fish. Hey, you wanna, you wanna come see a concert?”
He even lifted up a pad of paper and proceeded to make seal noises. “Ohr! Ohr! Ohr! You wanna–here, catch the fish. Why would you do that?”
“Exactly,” responded Carlson.
The comedian stated in his original Facebook video from Friday that the draconian requirements were akin to segregation and tribalism that immediately places people in diametrically opposed groups.
“Two quick updates on shows that you may think you may be getting tickets to or you already have tickets to: The Wellmont Theater in New Jersey — not doing it,” Breuer, 54, said. “Also the Royal Oak Theater in Michigan, due to the segregation of them forcing people to show up with vaccinations … I am also not doing those shows.”
“I know I’m going to sacrifice a lot of money, but I’m not going to be enslaved to the system or money,” he continued.
“If you try to segregate my audience or my following … I’m walking away,” Breuer added. He said he’d “go bankrupt and make a stance and not segregate.”
“If you have anything else to say, I honestly don’t care,” Breuer concluded about his stance. “Due to, I have to stick to my morals, I have to stick to what I know is right.”
Continuing his stance on Tucker’s show, Breuer said, “There’s a new narrative. And the new narrative is, the unvaccinated are the beast. Kill the beast. This program goes on forever. Kill the beast! The beast is the unvaccinated! Kill them!”
“And when our leader put that out there, and pointed the finger like we’re the demons?” the comedian added, “I’m not vaccinated. I had Covid. You’re not gonna tell me about my body. I know my body. I know my morals. I know my faith. You don’t come telling me and threaten me and everyone else as if we’re the demons.”
He continued, “I don’t understand what’s going on, like a lot of humans, and this isn’t political. Just like the other person said, this is good versus evil. And this is power versus the powerless. And it’s the power of fear, but it is time for the power of the fearless. I’m sorry, but the fearless have to start rising. Because we know something’s wrong.”
“I can see why your fans are grateful,” replied Carlson. “I mean here you are talking like an American man. Where are the rest of the American men?”
