USPS driver goes viral for ignoring a 'Karen' banging on his window and demanding her mail during his lunch break - but the two make up with a HUG the next day

A California mailman has gone viral after recording himself quietly enjoying his lunch break inside his truck — while a woman bangs on his window, demanding her mail.

Devan Jones is a USPS worker who delivers mail in Gardena, California, and like most people, he takes a break to eat lunch in the middle of the day.

But last week, one woman who lives on his route was angry about having to wait for her mail, and stood outside his truck banging on the window and complaining that he was keeping her waiting.

Devan shared the video of the encounter on TikTok on May 29 and it has quickly gone viral, racking up 14.2 views.

In the clip, Devan is sitting in the front of his mail truck, jamming out to music and drinking a bottle of juice.

Suddenly, a woman can be seen outside his window. She knocks repeatedly and calls out, 'Hello!'

'Can I get my mail? You've been sitting here for 30 minutes!' she complains.

Devan, however, simply ignores her, and continues to enjoy his music — not even spearing her a glance.

Video of the incident has gone viral, with commenters calling the woman a Karen — and Devan later shared the new sign he hung up during his break

Growing angry, the woman bangs on the window again before telling him 'I'm calling your supervisor.'

Commenters have heaped praise on Devan, defending him for refusing to let a 'Karen' disrupt his lunch break.

'Oh my gosh just go home girl! HE. BRINGS. IT. TO. YOU. That's how this works,' wrote one.

'I would sit an extra minute and then drive away/deliver later if I could. You deserve every minute of that break. Get far from that person. Stay safe!' said another.

'Customers don't care that you're on lunch... they keep nagging,' commented one more, while another wrote, 'God forbid we get a break.'

The next day, Devan captured another video as he hugged the woman while delivering her mail

'People thing they own postal workers and can talk to them and treat them any way,' said one more.

Another just loved Devan's attitude, writing: 'I want to be this unbothered in 2021.'

Surprisingly, though, Devan's interaction with the woman had a twist ending.

The next day, he posted a follow-up clip, showing the pair hugging outside a white picket fence.

'A day later after his 30-minute lunch, she got her mail,' it read.
