A Latina high school senior whose parents are undocumented immigrants has shared the joyful moment she learned that she'd been accepted to four Ivy League schools, including Harvard and Columbia.

In video shared by Santa Ana High School in California, Stephany Gutiérrez, 18, is seen sitting down at her computer to check whether she'd been accepted to the schools to which she'd applied.

As her family gathers around her, Stephany opens up the results one by one — and is overjoyed when she gets into not one but all four of the prestigious institutions.

The video begins with Stephany sitting at her computer, with her little sister standing behind her.

Celebratory music plays from her speakers as she reads her first acceptance, to Columbia University.

'I got in!' she says excitedly, while her elated sister gives her a hug.

Her proud father, meanwhile, breaks out into a huge grin and claps in celebration.

Next, she opens up the results from Brown University — and learns she got in there, too, going in for another hug from her sister, getting more cheers from her dad, and also getting a hug from her mother.

They continue to celebrate as she reads that has also been accepted to Dartmouth College, and finally erupt into cheers and a family hug when Stephany reads her acceptance letter from Harvard University.

Stephanie said that it wasn't easy to accomplish such impressive goals, but credits her parents for encouraging her.

'It was difficult, my parents are still illegal immigrants here in the United States,' she told Univision. 'Their support in particular has been excellent, my mom and dad have always told me that education is the way to get ahead.'

During her four years in high school, she completed two internships, played varsity tennis, served in the Santa Ana High School Student Representatives, tutored other students, and belonged to several clubs.

She plans to attend Harvard, and wants to go on to study law.

Stephany is about to graduate from Santa Ana High School in Santa Ana, California, the oldest and largest high school in Orange County, which was established in 1889.

According to School Digger, the school ranks worse than 69.3 per cent of high schools in California, and 87.5 per cent of of students are receiving a free or discounted lunch due to poverty.

Yet there is clearly no dearth of overachievers, and the Class of 2021 also has two other students going to Harvard in September, as well as several others accepted to Ivy League schools.

"There is no silver bullet when it comes to education,' said Jennifer Huynh, deputy director of the institution. 'We believe that if students are given the opportunity to be successful They are going to pursue it. There is no limit to what they can achieve.'
