Gov. Andrew Cuomo once compared himself to Sonny Corleone from The Godfather and bragged about his oral sex skills, according to a damning profile published in The New York Times on Tuesday.

The New York politician, 63, has fallen from grace amid recent accusations of sexual harassment and a cover-up of COVID nursing home deaths, but the new profile features interviews with insiders who say Cuomo's troubling behavior goes much further back.

Sources quoted in the piece allege that the Governor has made transphobic and sexually inappropriate comments - with some alarming remarks made more than 15 years ago. A Cuomo spokesperson has denied all claims.

Back in 2006, shortly after he was elected as New York Attorney General, one associate claims Cuomo gloated about how physically intimidating he could be.

Cuomo reportedly 'enthused' that he could make interviewers 'nervous' based on his physical presence.

'I loom over that table,' Cuomo is alleged to have said. 'In their minds, I'm Sonny Corleone and I'm capable of anything.'

Sonny Corleone  - the  fictional character from The Godfather - is the oldest son of Mafia boss Vito Corleone, famous for his fierce temper and prone to violent outbursts.

The vengeful character has multiple people killed in the first installment of the film, and carries on an affair behind his wife's back.

Cuomo's spokesperson denied the claim, stating: 'Cuomo never uses Godfather references. This is an anti-Italian, bigoted, false, defamatory statement'.

The Godfather references clearly upset the Cuomos - who are one of the most famous Italian-American families.

Andrew Cuomo's younger brother, Chris Cuomo, lashed out at a heckler who called him Fredo Corelone back in 2019. In The Godfather franchise, Fredo is known for being dimmest and weakest of the Corleone brothers.

Meanwhile, one source told The New York Times that Cuomo also openly boasted about his oral sex skills in a team meeting which was held during his first term as governor.

The source says the Gov. stated that he had 'a gift' and had been told by women that 'he was excellent at oral sex'.

The Cuomo spokesperson told The Times that that comment was never made, and labeled it 'a disgusting and defamatory lie.'

However, the publication asserts that 'staff members have long said that Cuomo revels in making others feel uncomfortable and pushes limits for the sport of it.'

During his 2006 campaign, Cuomo is alleged to have asked a male aide whether he was 'banging' a female journalist.

And in 2019, Cuomo allegedly told a male staffer that he would 'be a good-looking tranny' if he acquired 'a good set of tits.'

The Cuomo spokesperson again denied the allegations.

According to The Times, Cuomo has reportedly prided himself as a 'rampaging alpha' during his decades-long reign in politics.

One person who was once purportedly impressed by the Governor's machismo was Joe Biden.

In 2015, Biden joined Cuomo at a jobs event in Rochester and reportedly told an aide backstage that Cuomo had 'absolutely enormous balls'.

'The future commander in chief cupped his hands as if cradling melons,' the publication asserts.

A White House official did not explicitly deny the claim, but stated: 'This does not sound like something President Biden would say.'

During a speech that day, Biden can be seen on camera telling assembled attendees that Cuomo was his 'favorite Governor'.

However, the now-President is eager to distance himself from the Gov. amid sexual harassment allegations.

Despite numerous calls to stand down, Cuomo has refused to resign in light of the  allegations, saying he awaits the results of an internal investigation which he believes will clear his name.
