A Texas tutor has been jailed 20 years for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy and telling a 13-year-old girl to perform oral sex on him while she watched.
Leticia Lowery, 40, pleaded guilty last week to second-degree sexual assault of a child and first-degree sexual performance by a child. She was sentenced to 20 years behind bars.
The case first came to light last November when the boy's mother found texts on his phone from the teacher that were 'sexual in nature'.
It then emerged that the pair had sex on November 1, 2019, at Lowery's home.

An investigation later revealed that she had not only assaulted him, but also once collected him and his 13-year-old girlfriend and ordered the girl to perform oral sex on him in a van while she watched.
Lowery did not teach at a school but ran a private tutoring business out of her home. Public records indicate that she is married.
She was arrested by authorities in Montgomery County, which is on the outskirts of Houston, last November.
She is also facing charges in Harris County for allegedly texting inappropriate photos of herself to a different 15-year-old boy and telling him she would do 'whatever he was comfortable with'.
In that case, the boy was the son of a family friend who she was tutoring. She was charged with trying to solicit sex with a minor. That case has not yet been resolved.
It also carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
