Left-wing Democrats attempting to analyze why there was no 'blue wave' in the election are claiming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's freezer drawer filled with ice cream may be partly to blame.
During an interview for The Late Late Show with James Corden, Pelosi showed off a pricey sub-zero freezer in her kitchen at her California home that was full stocked of $12-a-pint ice cream.
The interview occurred in April, towards the start of the lockdown but so-called progressive groups believe that such flashiness likely cost the party potential votes on November 3 because she appeared so out of touch with ordinary Americans.

The ice cream assortment in question included pints from Jeni's, which go for around $12 a pint, along with Dove bar and Talenti brand treats
Pelosi proudly tweeted her love of ice cream in April, but it ended up giving Republicans ammunition to use against her
'When Democratic leaders make unforced errors like showing off two sub-zero freezers full of ice cream on national television or cozy up with Wall Street executives and corporate lobbyists while Trump tells voters we are the party of the swamp, it is not surprising that we lose,' reads the memo which was sent by groups including Justice Democrats and the Sunrise Movement.
'The economy was voters' top concern in this election. We need a new generation of leadership grounded in a multiracial, working class experience and background,' the memo said.
The groups criticized Pelosi for 'showing off' her $24,000 fridge packed with Jeni's premium ice cream.

Pelosi's interview was then used by a Trump campaign attack ad which showed people living in poverty and the tiny fridge freezers they had to survive
The freezers of other people living on the breadline were shown in the campaign ad in an attempt to show Pelosi to be out of touch with the lives of normal people
Pelosi told Corden she was devouring chocolate ice cream and candy 'as much as possible,' and showed off a collection of Jeni's ice creams in her freezer drawer.
A single pint goes for $12, while a six-pack, such as 'emergency chocolate stash,' is slightly cheaper when bought in a $68 case of six.
Pelosi could also be seen to have Dove and Talenti brand treats.
'I don't know what I would have done if ice cream had not been invented,' she mused.
The clip was perfect ammunition for Republicans.

Trump's re-election campaign used clips from the interview in an advert for the GOP that portrayed her as elitist.
The advert revealed her displaying her freezer followed by pictures of Americans waiting in line at food banks and people stocking what little food they had into a tiny fridge freezer.
'Right now, it's survival mode,' one man can be heard saying in the says in the ad. In the following clip, Pelosi says: 'I don't know what I would have done if ice cream were not invented.'
The powerful commercial ends with a spoof quote: 'Let them eat ice cream,' before citing 'Nancy Antoinette.'
The interview took place at Pelosi's home in San Francisco, which is said to be worth up to $25 million
The Trump campaign's rapid response director Steve Guest also latched onto the clip at the time pointing out that Pelosi was 'eating $13-a-pint ice cream out of her $24,000 fridge.'
'The Paycheck Protection Program ran out of money this morning because Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, blocked the necessary $250 billion replenishment for the program that Congressional Republicans tried to deliver,' the Republican National Committee chimed in.
'Now "Nancy Antoinette" has to explain to America why she chose to show off her luxury refrigerators and $13-dollar a pint ice cream collection from her chateau in San Francisco instead of funding the Paycheck Protection Program which has served millions of jobs all across the country.'
The video did not sit well either with many on YouTube criticizing the Speaker.
'Her fridge is bigger than most of homeless people's tents in California,' wrote one.
'While we lose our lively hoods. She's eating ice cream, staying home, getting paid,' added another.
'People lost jobs, depressed, worried and here Nancy Pelosi....showing off lots of ice cream that majority i see costs $12+ a pint! Wow.....' said another viewer to the video.
