The message was clearly aimed at swing state voters

'And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote.'

Gaga then takes a swing from her can of beer before slamming it to the ground saying: 'Cheers to the 2020 election.'

Although the video may have been filmed in jest and with honest intentions, the clip appears to have entirely missed the mark with voters in swing states.

'I don't own a truck, never worn camo or drank a beer so if this is your idea of #TrumpSupporters you're dead wrong we're college educated, hard working people who love our country but nice try GaGa,' wrote one woman who claims to be a dental hygienist from Tennessee.

'Stunts like this, are exactly why Trump is going to win. Average, hardworking Americans are sick of 'celebrities' mocking them for what they wear, drive, eat, drink, and where they choose to work or live,' wrote Harley Lexx from South Carolina.

'This is one of the most tone-deaf things I've seen this whole election cycle. You've just produced an ad for Trump's re-relection,' said Philippa Coleman.

Others were aghast that Gaga let her

 beer go to waste.

'Real rednecks wouldn't have wasted that perfectly good beer, Gaga. I speak from experience,'  wrote Amber Athey from Arlington, Virginia.

'Love ya Gaga but this Vid is Cringe AF. It feels insincere & literally makes me not want to vote at all. I honestly wish you never got involved in politics publicly because it's distracting from the Power of your Musical & Performing Talents. Politics is a Dirty Game Sis,' another user called RockMercury added.

Last week, Gaga posted another video urging people to get out and vote if they 'wanted the country to be different than it is'.

'If you want to change this system if you want this country to be different than it is right now, you have got to participate in this election,' she added.

Later on Sunday, the music superstar got into an unlikely Twitter feud with President Trump's reelection campaign after they accused her of being anti-fracking.

Democratic challenger Joe Biden announced that Gaga would appear with him Monday evening at a drive-in rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a state crucial to clinching victory on November 3.

Trump's team responded immediately, slamming the joint appearance.

'Nothing exposes Joe Biden's disdain for the forgotten working men and women of Pennsylvania like campaigning with ant-fracking activist Lady Gaga,' campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said in a statement posted to Twitter.

'This desperate effort to drum up enthusiasm for his lackluster candidacy is actually a sharp stick in the eye for 600,000 Pennsylvanians who work in the fracking industry,' Murtaugh said, adding that Biden has 'repeatedly promised left-wing activists' to end fracking should he take office.

Fracking - gas and oil extraction from deep underground rock using an injection of water and chemicals - boomed in the mid-2000s thanks to new technology.

By 2014, it made the US the world's biggest oil and gas producer.

But its costs are high: the drilling triggers earthquakes, while research links its air emissions and water contamination to myriad health problems. It also contributes to global warming when methane leaks out from drilling wells and becomes a highly potent greenhouse gas.

Biden favors prohibiting new fracking on public lands and transitioning the country to renewables, but has said he would not eliminate fracking entirely.

Lady Gaga clapped back at Murtaugh, tweeting: 'HEY TIM HEY @realDonaldTrump SO HAPPY IM GLAD TO BE LIVING RENT FREE in your HEAD. #BidenHarris.'

The Grammy winner attached an image of Murtaugh's statement, decorated with animated stickers that said 'LOL' and 'Vote Biden,' as well as the message, 'Heeeey Donald... #WINNING (also, what is a fracking?) keep your jobs PA... We (heart emoji) You.'

'Next time @ me,' he added, referring to Twitter's method of tagging people in posts.

But there was only love for Gaga in the rest of the comments, where fans jokingly urged her to 'END HIM' and 'GET HIM QUEEN.'

Biden currently leads Trump by an average of 4.3 percentage points in Pennsylvania, according to RealClearPolitics, two days before the election.
