Today, the dimmest bulb in the House of Representatives, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proposed what could be the dumbest initiative to ever come from a House member.
She suggested that setting up a “national progressive pen pal program” will somehow save the post office by selling more stamps.
“Hello, everyone. I have been thinking about ways to help you help the Post Office, and I think I’ve got an idea and I’m interested in hearing your thoughts.” Ocasio-Cortez suggested.
“So, one of the best ways to support the Post Office is to buy stamps. What do you all think, would you guys be down and excited if I set up a national progressive penpal program, do all the work of connecting you to somebody else, we would offer maybe some conversation prompts or postcard prompts, or even like a principal postcard format,” she added.
“You just send it out. Would you guys be down? Do you like that idea?”

Ocasio-Cortez’s pen pal idea is so ridiculous and so stupid that most right thinking folks will laugh out loud the minute they hear it.
That said, the national progressive pen pal idea is so stupid and ridiculous that many liberals and media types will think it’s brilliant and jump all over the idea.
