On May 19, Michigan’s newly elected Democrat secretary of state pulled a fast one on citizens when she announced that all registered voters in the crucial swing state of Michigan, where voters went for Trump in 2016, will receive applications for absentee ballots in November.
“By mailing applications, we have ensured that no Michigander has to choose between their health and their right to vote,” Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson wrote in a statement to the public.
President Trump warned about mail-in-voting schemes, telling Republicans they should fight very hard against it, adding that there’s a “tremendous potential for voter fraud,” adding, “and for whatever reason,” voting by mail “doesn’t work out well for Republicans.”

A large group of Michigan voters, led by Michael Farage, president of the Grand Rapids Taxpayers Association, gathered together to burn their absentee ballot applications. The large group of Trump-supporting Michigan voters burned the applications as a way to show their disapproval for Secretary of State Benson’s decision to send the unwanted absentee ballots to every registered voter in Michigan. In addition to their concerns over massive voter fraud, Farage told the AP reporter that voters also were also concerned over the costs associated with the massive mailing that will fall on the backs of MI taxpayers.

Benson was one of three far-left Democrats who were elected in the 2018 election, including Democrat Gretchen Whitmer and Michigan’s radical Democrat AG Dana Nessel after the legalization of recreational marijuana was added to the ballot.
