Authorities arrested a Hollywood man who calls himself "Sexy Vegan" after he reportedly sexually assaulted his pit bull and shared the video footage on the internet.

What are the details?

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Hansel DeBartolo III, 37 — who legally changed his name to "Sexy Vegan" — with one misdemeanor charge of sexual assault on an animal and posting obscene matter on the internet.
He pleaded not guilty on both counts. Vegan is due in court on Oct. 10. If convicted, he could face up to a year in prison. According to the Los Angeles Times, Vegan is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail.
Los Angeles County prosecutors said that on Sept. 5 Vegan "posted a video on his social media account allegedly depicting inappropriate behavior with a pit bull."
"Detectives found a video on social media of the suspect performing an act of bestiality," a spokesperson for the sheriff's office told KHTS-TV.
The investigation remains ongoing.

What else?

According to the outlet, Vegan told law enforcement during his arrest that he is a 2020 presidential candidate.
Vegan also appeared on "Dr. Phil" twice. He was kicked off of the set during his first appearance for bizarre behavior and vulgar language. The episode was titled, "My Brother Changed His Name to 'Sexy Vegan,' Wears Speedos in Public and is Spending My Mom's $11 Million Inheritance." Vegan appeared on the show a second time a few months after his initial appearance to apologize for his behavior.
An Instagram account that appears to be linked to Vegan is still active.
