Joe Biden made the remarks during a meeting of foreign policy specialists. Biden said he, “Threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.” Biden suggested during his talk that Barack Obama was also in on the threat.
In April John Solomon revealed what Biden did not tell his audience. Joe Biden had Shokin fired because he was investigating bribes to Joe Biden’s son Hunter.
Shokin was investigating $3 million in funds that were being transferred out of Ukraine and into accounts in the United States at that time.

The Obama administration knew about Hunter Biden’s position on the Burisma Board. Hunter landed the lucrative position two months after he was kicked out of the US Navy for drug use.
In fact the Obama Administration was confronted about Hunter Biden’s position on the Ukrainian Burisma Board in 2014.
State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki was asked about Hunter Biden’s appointment to the board during a press conference. Hunter Biden had no experience in gas or oil and did not speak Ukrainian. He was paid from $50,000 to $150,000 a month for sitting on the board.
Reporter: Does this building diplomatically have any concerns about potential perceptions about conflict of interest or cronyism which is what you often accused the Russians of doing?Jen Psaki: “Um, no he’s a private citizen.”Reporter: OK, then so you consider the Russian oligarchs who control, or the Ukranian oligarchs who control this, they’re all private citizens as well?Jen Psaki: They certainly, I wouldn’t put them in the same category.Reporter: I’m not suggesting that it should be in the same category. But I’m wondering if there are concerns from this building about the perception, about how the Russians and-or the Ukrainians would perceive the involvement of the son of a vice president of the United States, especially given this issue?Jen Psaki: No, there are not.
The Obama administration had NO CONCERN that Hunter Biden was sitting on a Ukrainian board making over $50,000 a month for being the vice president’s son.
