Yahoo News has obtained a new FBI document dated May 30, 2019 that warns ‘conspiracy theorists’ are the new domestic terrorism threats.
What exactly is considered a ‘conspiracy theory?’
The document specifically called out ‘QAnon’ which is a belief that “Q” is a government official posting information on an online forum about Trump’s efforts to dismantle the Deep State.
“The FBI assesses these conspiracy theories very likely will emerge, spread, and evolve in the modern information marketplace, occasionally driving both groups and individual extremists to carry out criminal or violent acts,” the document states.
The document also claims the FBI believes conspiracy theory-driven extremists are likely to increase during the 2020 presidential election cycle.
The FBI appears to be bracing for Spygate backlash because they said another factor driving the so-called threat is “the uncovering of real conspiracies or cover-ups involving illegal, harmful, or unconstitutional activities by government officials or leading political figures.”
The FBI did not offer any specifics about which political leaders or which cover-ups it was referring to, however the timing is suspicious as Spygate begins to unravel.
The FBI is beginning to focus more on ‘anti-government extremism’ and explained in the document that “This is the first FBI product examining the threat from conspiracy theory-driven domestic extremists and provides a baseline for future intelligence products.”
This new category of ‘conspiracy theory-driven’ monitoring based on a person’s beliefs comes from an “attempt to explain events or circumstances as the result of a group of actors working in secret to benefit themselves at the expense of others” and are “usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.”
The document took aim at the internet and social media.
“The advent of the Internet and social media has enabled promoters of conspiracy theories to produce and share greater volumes of material via online platforms that larger audiences of consumers can quickly and easily access,” the document stated.
The FBI claimed that it can’t monitor social media without a probable cause or “initiate an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray recently said in a Senate hearing that the majority of domestic terrorism cases this year were motivated by ‘white supremacist violence’ but he couldn’t provide any real numbers.
The reality is that Islamic terrorism, left-wing terrorism (Antifa), totalitarian Socialist/Communist lawmakers, illegal immigration and the corrupt criminal Deep State are the biggest threat to our Republic.
Recall in June of 2017, a psychotic Bernie Sanders supporter named James Hodgkinson shot up a baseball field full of Republican lawmakers and almost killed Congressman Steve Scalise all because he bought into the Big Lie that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election — a crazy conspiracy theory made up by the Deep State and repeated breathlessly by their stenographers in the media.
But the FBI is focusing on ‘conspiracy theories’ about the Deep State that are protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution.
