Texas lawmaker calls vaccines 'sorcery,' verbally attacks prominent advocate

Vaccine advocate Dr. Peter Hotez is accustomed to verbal attacks from anti-vaxxers, but the abuse came from an unexpected source: a Texas legislator.
In response to a Hotez tweet that the latest increase in vaccine exemptions in Texas shows its children have been "placed in harm's way for the financial gain of special and outside interest groups," Rep. Jonathan Stickland, R-Bedford, let loose.
"You are bought and paid for by the biggest special interest in politics," tweeted Stickland. "Do our state a favor and mind your own business. Parental rights mean more to us than your self enriching 'science.'"
When Hotez replied that he doesn't take a dime from the vaccine industry and that as a Texas pediatrician-scientist who develops neglected disease vaccines for the world's poorest people, it is "most certainly my business," Stickland dug in even deeper.
"Make the case for your sorcery to consumers on your own dime," tweeted Stickland. "Like every other business. Quit using the heavy hand of government to make your business profitable through mandates and immunity. It's disgusting."

Wow that's impressive, from a member of the Texas House of Representatives. Sir, as you know, I don't take a dime from the vaccine industry. I develop neglected disease vaccines for the world's poorest people. And as a Texas pediatrician-scientist it is most certainly my business

Hotez, a Baylor College of Medicine professor of infectious disease, bowed out at that point. But Stickland continued the onslaught with others happy to engage the fight. In a span of an hour, he tweeted that vaccines are "dangerous," that a doctor concerned about the child's vulnerability to disease is a "brainwashed commie" and that a defender of science is a "typical leftist trying to take credit for something only The Lord God Almighty is in control of."
The twitter tussle was triggered by a Houston Chronicle story reporting on the latest and continuing increase in the number of Texans vaccine exemptions by parents claiming a conscientious objection to the state requirement.

  1. Rep Stickland, you are an American hero for standing up to the brute force of Big Pharma.

  2. Wow, I never thought that I would read anything like this from a politician.

Rep Stickland, you are indeed an honorable man, sir!

  3. All honor for this, and the next phase should be documentation.
Can they, at all produce credible papers, domcumenation, scientific inquires, documentes blind testings as one ex. to prove this actually works.
Vaccine, do it even work, on issues that was already before vaccines came into existence, by some crackpot theorys, was been eradicated, water, better sanitary, bettere sewage handling, instead on the street.
Go to Mojedaro, over 3000 years ago, even they knew the benefits of better sanitary, and poverty creates the human conditions needed for contaminations to spread in an already compromises population and specally the chidren.
    Do we lear anything.
Big pharma is the number one man killer, fake much of it, the scams are plenty, from Merevan to the sky rocketing opiodic use, heavy shit my friend, I rather live with the pain than eat that shit, the use of antibiotics, in food to thoothpaste, and we wounder why we have an bacterial intestal culture equally thriwing as an cadavre, do you undestand, we are dying, day by day, the level of shit is mind numbing, and can they show to any credible documents, at all, how much is de facto, reproducable an narrative you should educate your self in, because that one, is the alpha and omega of any science, chapice.

Look to Japan, and what happened, when they stopped mandatory vaccination, all the way back to the Childs birth, in the must crusial time in an childs life, we pump em up with chemical waist products, nothing else, their entire science that they claim is behind, the science they claim is working, the reasons for it to work, ( the use of adjuvants, mercury, f.... knows what else), its all an scam, put some people that have the ability to see this, I know they will have an field day, and demand them to prove it all, if not, throw am in jail to the day they die.

Yeah, law man, hang em high.

  4. Unfortunately anyone defending vaccines is at risk of being regarded as guilty by association with Big Pharma. It is possible, even probable, that some vaccines have worked in the past. The trouble is we now have massive corporations, with a well proven disregard for anything but profit, and government, with a well proven disregard for human life, in charge of the system. This makes any pro vaccine argument suspect. What we need is an independent scientific enquiry to find the truth. However finding said independent scientists is like finding an honest politician.

  5. I stand with this person also.
Australia, has been part of the 'testing grounds' of vaccines since 1950's.
Take a look around at the outcomes.
Same as America...brain dead people lining up for the next 'test', and believing the hype of DUMB scientists.
A 'scientist' is a loose name for a bunch of yahoo nerds, who were mostly anti social at school and at home, and have only ONE thought in their minds....."what if".

  6. LMAO, the hayseed has a GED, and no graduate degree to speak of. Couldn't even complete an arts degree program in sale and marketing. A common sophist that pushes his own vudoo religion.
IF he had any intelligence, he would attack the issue of using n=1 as the population of a statistical study.

  7. ...4 billion dollars in vaccine damage payouts...in spite of a 98% rejection rate for claims by the secret US Vaccine Court. But vaccines are not harmful. Yeah...sure. Blow it out your ear.

  8. ....Ha! Ha! Ha! Are you comparing the..."educational level"...of one citizen to another based upon degrees which these days hold almost zero value? Are you saying that spending $200,000 on a degree, and spending your life paying off the loans...is a more intelligent decision, or makes a more intelligent person? I've never been to college, but I worked all over the world. I have lived in Japan, Germany, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary...climbed Mt. Fuji, lived in a 600 year old home in Germany...and received a personal tour of Air Force One. I also beat US DoD in a two-decade-long Federal Whistle Blower Case, without the aid of an attorney. So your presumption that one must hold a degree, to have a degree of intelligence, or be able to correlate actions and outcomes ...is a bit silly. Grow up. Try again. If vaccines are not harmful... why has the secret US Vaccine Court paid out over 4 Billion Dollars in damages? Use your college degree to explain that one...eh? Ha! Ha! Ha! How silly.

  9. "Texas lawmaker calls vaccines 'sorcery,'"

Far worse than this "vaccines" are mostly unnecessary when proper health and nutrition are assured. NO "vaccine" is honestly tested for total mortality and morbidity but we have copious evidence "vaccines" have inflicted so much harm on society it is impossible to calculate.

"Vaccine " driven Autism is only the tip of the iceberg. The current cohort of children in the USA is the most immunocompromised and "vaccine" damaged in our history.

Vaccination is Inherently DEADLY,DANGEROUS and UNSAFE

Mainstream media blackout as Italian parliamentary commission find major problems with vaccines after an 18-year investigation, finds higher risks of death and illnesses such as cancer, autoimmune disorders and hypersensitivity associated

  10. ...that is correct. I would use Roe vs. Wade against them. If a woman has so much control over her body as to have the right to kill their child, I and my kids have the right to refuse their poison.

  11. "However finding said independent scientists is like finding an honest politician."

Oh there are thousands of honest scientists. The problem is HEARING them. MSM is able to silence most of them just by not reporting what they have to say. Then there the "Scientific Societies" who are largely under the thumb of Big Pharma or some such money bags.

A few powerful honest people (Trump and his tweets?) can reveal the truth. It takes a worldwide mega organization to HIDE the truth. Unfortunately for the human race this mega organization has been perfected and is being fueled by mega trillions in stolen loot, war, disease and greed.

In this mega organizational chart below the vast majority of the employees are honest caring souls. The problem is right at the TOP with the few KEY people who do the bidding of, ultimately, Lucifer.

  12. You are a shill for Big Pharma's illicit profits.

  13. I am a retired forensic clinical neuropsychologist. On six occasions when I was still in practice distraught couples brought their young children to me for evaluation soon after they had received vaccines. In each of these, the children were exhibiting symptoms clearly indicative of autism which did not exist prior to administration of vaccines. These events contributed to my disillusion with the profession generally as it appeared to 'wash these under the rug' and discount the testimony of others who observed similar phenomena.

  14. Let them show statistics for people who are unvaccinated who are not a suffering from autism and all the other vaccine induced plagues. The ones who are scared of catching anything are those who are vaccinated.!!! Dosent make sense.

  16. I'm saying arts degrees are counter intelligent, a detriment to the real knowledge of 'SCIENCE BITCH'!

  17. ....in other words...your argument is empty and you are simply shilling for corrupt Big-Pharma. I'm glad I have that corrupted-soul-translation-program on my computer, or else some might be fooled into thinking you know how to think, or possessed some ethics. Obviously you don't.

  18. Your confusion resides in associating all education as the same. Judiciary Arts degree holders run the court system on personal opinion or a consensus of group think. Arts is based on subjective personal perception, which means the use of terms like 'fair'. While Science is based on the objective, can be proven by anyone anywhere anytime.
Big pharma uses statistical sophistry, commonly referred to as n=1. Statistics are based on populations, which by definition exceed one. I do agree, vaccines are pushed by salemen who, more often than not, hold BA.
Climbing Mt. Fuji is impressive. Holding your own in a corrupt court system, even more impressive. DoD exec, I'll do as mom said and shut up now.
My reason for playing devils advocate is to learn more, and most of your text is known, tough not ignored. So tell me, how would you have handled polio?
PS parent was a medical professional for over 30yrs, and I won't even get a flu shoot. So I'm not 'on board' with all vaccinations, but Tetanus is up to date for good reasons.
