When his son brought home failing grades, Tre Cosby decided to teach him a lesson the hard way - by destroying his beloved PlayStation 4.
And Tre decided to film the moment he forced his son to demolish the game console, using everything from a crowbar and a boulder to his own car.
'Hey world, once again, these kids and their electronics,' Tre says as he begins the video. 'They don't wanna act right, so guess what? My youngest is gonna get his PlayStation demolished.'
'But guess what? This time I'm not gonna do it.'

Tre then places the PlayStation into two plastic garbage bags and calls for his son Tracy, walking downstairs.
He tells his son, who is watching the Disney Channel and wearing a sweatshirt that says 'Eat Sleep Fortnite Repeat', to 'come here' and reveals what's about to happen.
'You was watching YouTube videos again this morning on PlayStation,' he said. 'What did I tell you next time was gonna happen? Did I tell you your PlayStation was gonna get it?'
'Talk to the camera, tell them how you don't listen,' he adds.
Tre hands his son a crowbar and tells him 'I don't wanna hear it' as the boy weeps. 'Beat it up,' he instructs Tracy. 'You better hit it. Beat it up, beat it up, beat it hard'

Tracy continues to weep as he taps the PlayStation with the crowbar. 'You ain't doing it right,' Tre tells him. 'You ain't doing it right'

Tre then seems ready to have his son break the console right then and there, before his wife tells him to do it outside.
They go to the front yard, as a visibly upset Tracy already begins wiping tears away from his face.
Tre hands his son a crowbar and tells him 'I don't wanna hear it' as the boy continues to cry.
'Beat it up,' he instructs Tracy. 'You better hit it. Beat it up, beat it up, beat it hard.'
Tre then grabs a rock from the front yard and throws it right on top of the PlayStation 4

He then tries to make Tracy take the rock and drop it on the PlayStation. It is clearly too heavy for the boy, so Tre grabs the rock and throws it on the console again

'It's getting cracked up pretty good now,' Tre tells his son excitedly, handing him the crowbar again and telling him to 'keep on beating it'.

Tracy, still crying, can only manage to tap the PlayStation.
'That's all you got?' his father asks him. 'Come on man, you can do better than that.'
Tre grabs the PlayStation and places it right behind his car.
He then starts the engine and reverses right into the PlayStation before slamming it on the ground one more time for good measure.

  1. If I were the kid, I would have tried to throw the rock hard enough for it to bounce off the PS4, and hit the red car.

  2. had same problem with son. unplugged and locked up game. he got it back (incentive) when grades improved. never had bad grades again.
what this father did was created a lot of resentment. Streets and gangs love resentment.

  3. I have seen an ad on Craigslist for two game consoles being given away for free due to something like bad grades or mis-behavior. I cheered inside. Dad probably found out that Jr. wasn't being truthful about completing his homework before planting himself in front of the game for hours everyday.
