School administrators in Louisiana are investigating a Thursday brawl at a local middle school after cell phone footage showed a coach slamming a female student to the ground.
The footage was captured at Ponchatoula Junior High School, located near Lake Pontchartrain, and shows the man forcibly slam the girl into the ground.
He then puts his knee to the girl's chest and pins her to the ground, while screaming: 'You're gonna be still or I'm gonna stomp your a-- on this concrete.'
Another man is seen in the video holding the girl's legs in the air.
'Calm down and I'm gonna let you up,' the coach added.
According to the girl's mother, Althea Abron, the girl has struggled since the incident occurred.
'It just traumatized her,' Abron explained to ABC News. 'She's having a hard time. She doesn't feel safe.'
On Facebook, the mother said that her daughter had been jumped by a group of girls and that the men had held her down in an attempt to restrain her.
She said: 'Now I'm making jokes and my baby got jump at school and I'm pissed!!!they held my baby down!!!and jump her im looking for these lil girls.'
Her daughter, Edbreyell Haynes, told WDSU that the fight stemmed from a potato chip that was thrown at her.
'Then she punched me in my face,' Haynes said. 'Then the man came behind me and pulled my hand. I tried dragging away from him and I fell on the ground.'
She added: 'I feel like I should have been protected more. I feel like they could have handled the situation better than they did.'
The Tangipahoa Parish School System released a statement saying that they were conducting a 'thorough' investigation.
'We are deeply saddened by the incident on the video,' Melissa Stilley, superintendent of schools, saidin a statement.
'This behavior does not represent the expectations we have for the adults and students on our campus. We are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and actions are being taken.'

  1. In some groups, it's common for parents to shout at their child when struck by another child "Hit Back, . . . Hit Back!

  2. The school administrators will still make their six digits this year, no problem.
Then we have the corupt, inarticulate PhD's like Broward County's Brenda Snipes with an $11,000 a month pension. God help us.
