Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn't popular among voters - if they've even heard of her at all, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac University survey released Thursday found that just 23 per cent gave the New Yorker a favorable rating.
A surprising 38 percent said they didn't even know enough about the liberal politician to form an opinion on her, despite the 29-year-old being on the cover of April's Time Magazine.

The poll surveyed 1,358 voters nationwide between March 21 and 25 and AOC got her highest favorable rating - 35 percent - from the 18-34 age group.
Republicans gave her a measly 2 percent rating and a huge 74 percent unfavorable rating. Twenty three percent said they didn't know enough about her to form an opinion.
'All is definitely not A-OK for AOC. Most voters either don't like the firebrand freshman congresswoman or don't know who she is,' said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the poll.
Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez a lot more, only 7 percent regard her unfavorably. Forty seven liked her, while the rest don't know her well enough.
The poll also asked respondents how they think she'd suit certain parties.
Overall, 33 percent of respondents thought she was a match for the Democrats, including 57 percent of that voter base.
Fifty seven is a number that was relevant for AOC this week as the senate unanimously voted down her new green deal 57-0 Tuesday.
Not surprisingly, 73 percent of Republicans said she was bad for the party. They let their feelings on her be known at a Trump rally yesterday, chanting: 'AOC sucks!'
The survey has a plus/minus 3.3 percentage-point margin of error.
It also found that Republicans and Republican leaners remain loyal to President Donald Trump, with 56 – 35 percent saying they do not want to see someone run against him in a Republican primary.
But 53 percent of American voters say they definitely will not vote for Trump in the 2020 general election if he is the Republican candidate.
From March 21 - 25, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,358 voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percentage points, including the design effect. The survey includes 559 Democrats and Democratic leaners with a margin of error of +/- 5.1 percentage points, including the design effect, and 582 Republicans and Republican leaners with a margin of error of +/- 5 percentage points, including the design effect.
