Two years before a college scandal would demolish her long Hollywood career, Lori Loughlin was joking about how much money she had spent on her daughter's education.
A 2017 YouTube video from Olivia Jade, Loughlin's 19-year-old daughter, is making headlines after the Full House star was charged for allegedly paying a $500,000 bribe to get the teen and her 20-year-old sister Isabella into USC.
The video features Olivia, who has been a popular vlogger on YouTube for years, testing her mother's knowledge on slang words.
After asking her mother to define words like 'fire', 'thot', and 'snack', Olivia asks Loughlin if she knows the phrase 'England is my city'.

The phrase comes from the music video 'It's Everyday Bro', by controversial YouTube star Jake Paul. It is the third most disliked video of all time on the website.
'It was in a YouTube video, in a diss track,' Olivia tries to explain to her mom. 'It was a big thing in 2017 for YouTubers.'
'England is not a city,' Loughlin replies.
'I know,' Olivia says. 'That's why it's so, so, so, iconic on YouTube! Well, it's not iconic at all, it's just really dumb.'
'If you would've said "England is my city", I would say, "Why did I pay all this money for your education?'" Loughlin joked.
It's a joke that Loughlin repeats when her daughter asks her to define the word 'clout'.
'Clout, like you have clout? Like you're kind of high up there, you've got clout,' Loughlin replies.
'Oh, is that an actual word?' Olivia asks. 'Is that an actual thing?'
'Clout is an actual word,' Loughlin replies.
'Oh, I just thought it was a social media thing,' Olivia tells her.
'Once again, money on that education!' Loughlin quips.
'I'm sorry, yeah. That's a bad one,' Olivia replies. 'I don't have an excuse.'
A number of Olivia's videos have resurfaced ever since the teen's name made headlines this week amid the college bribery scandal.
The most recent video comes just a day after one clip resurfaced in which the influencer revealed she was 'literally never at school'.
Olivia was filming her last day of high school in May 2018 and discussed how she was excited to do 'the school prank'.
'But I'm also literally never at school that I think my class doesn't even - maybe they forget I go there,' she said, before quickly adding that she was 'just kidding!'
It has been a rough week for both Loughlin and her daughter ever since the Full House star and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged in the scandal.
Loughlin, who has played Aunt Becky on the original Full House as well as Netflix's revival, will not return for Fuller House's fifth and final season.
A production source told TMZ that Loughlin was a guest star during the previous four seasons and 'there are currently no plans for her to return to the fifth season'.
The news come hours after it was revealed the Hallmark Channel was cutting ties with Loughlin.
Both Olivia and Isabella also decided to withdraw from USC on Thursday.
Sources told TMZ that the girls were afraid they would be 'viciously bullied' if they returned to the Los Angeles school.
Olivia had been enjoying spring break on a yacht owned by Rick Caruso, the chairman of USC's Board of Trustees, when news of her mother's indictment broke.
But now the former YouTube star, who was dropped by both Sephora and TRESemme on Thursday, 'is a mess and despondent', one source said.
The teen is 'feeling like it's the end of the world', they added.
Sources said Olivia and Isabella plan to 'lay low' and that Loughlin and Giannulli are in full support of their decision to withdraw from USC.
Both Loughlin and Giannulli each had to post $1million bail and put their family's Bel Air home up as collateral after they were charged.
The girls have no immediate plans to try and enroll in another school, the source added.
Olivia has previously come under fire for admitting in her vlogs that she didn't really care about school' but wanted to experience game days and partying'.
And the teen revealed in a podcast interview that she hadn't initially wanted to go to college but that her parents 'really wanted me to go'.
But the scandal hasn't just affected Olivia's degree prospects. On Thursday Sephora confirmed that it was cutting ties with the teen.
Just last year, Olivia had released her own bronzer palette as part of a collaboration with the Sephora Collection.
'After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,' the brand told DailyMail.com in a statement.
The decision comes after customers threatened to boycott Sephora stores if it didn't cut ties with Olivia and remove all collaborative product from its shelves.
Just hours after Sephora dropped Olivia, the Hallmark Channel announced it was cutting ties with Loughlin over the scandal.
Hallmark said it was 'saddened' by the allegations involving the actress and revealed on Thursday that the network would no longer be working with her.
It has also stopped development of all productions involving Loughlin.
The former Full House star had been among the channel's so-called 'Christmas Queens', starring in a slew of Hallmark's popular holiday movies.
Loughlin also starred in the ongoing Garage Sale Mystery films, as well as the Hallmark Channel's original series When Calls The Heart.
The show's sixth season is currently airing on the channel, but Hallmark said a new episode will not air on Sunday as planned. There are seven episodes left in the season.
'We are evaluating all creative options related to When Calls the Heart series,' the channel said in the statement
The 54-year-old was shooting in Vancouver for the channel when news of the scandal broke. She flew back to Los Angeles on Tuesday to face charges.
While Giannulli had to surrender his passport to judges, Loughlin's lawyers had asked that she be allowed to continue to travel to Vancouver for work - which was granted.
Loughlin and Giannulli were among 50 parents, along with actress Felicity Huffman, who were charged in what investigators have dubbed 'Operation Varsity Blues'.
All three are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, a felony which carries a maximum sentence of five years behind bars.
William Rick Singer, the founder of Key Worldwide Foundation, had been identified as the alleged mastermind behind the scandal.
Charging documents claim that, since 2011, Singer has received $25million from parents to bribe individuals who could 'designate their children as recruited athletes, or other favored admissions categories'.
Loughlin and Giannulli allegedly emailed Singer in 2016 about their daughters' college prospects, stating that they wanted to do the necessary work to see that the girls got into USC as opposed to Arizona State University.
Emails obtained by investigators revealed that it was soon decided that bribes would be paid to have the girls recruited onto the crew team, despite the fact that they did not participate in the sport. Photos were even taken of the girls on rowing machines.
Dr Donna Heinel, USC's senior associate athletic director, first presented Isabella as a potential athletic recruit and she was approved for conditional admission.
It was then asked that a check be sent to Heinel for $50,000 from Giannulli.
Isabella received her admission letter the following March, which was followed by another note requesting a donation of $200,000 to Key Worldwide Foundation.
This same exact process was then repeated with younger daughter Olivia, the documents claim.
Problems arose however when Olivia's guidance counselor became curious as to how she managed to receive admission based on her involvement in crew when she did not even row.
At the same time, Loughlin complained that her daughter was having difficulty filling out her other college applications, prompting Singer to ask an employee to take care of the task.
This was done so as not to draw attention to the fact that it was already confirmed Olivia had received conditional admission to USC.
Then, at some point, there was a very heated and public altercation between Giannulli and the counselor, which elicited an email from Heinel asking that this not happen again in the future so as to avoid further detection.
Loughlin and Giannulli were later told by Singer to say they had given the $500,000 to the foundation to help 'underserved kids'.
But everything began to fall apart in October 2018 when the IRS audited Key Worldwide and began to look into donations made by parents whose children were then admitted to USC.
Singer was charged with racketeering conspiracy, money laundering conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
He has pleaded guilty and faces 65 years behind bars.

Instead of a bribe to a specific person or people, she could have donated a building or contributed funds to a new lab and "of course" her kids would be accepted. That's been going on since time immemorial and while it's a bit dodgy, it's still on the right side of acceptable for rich parents to do so their kids can have some exposure to the real world before they are arrested for drugs/DWI and destroy the family name.
