An Oklahoma Democratic congressional candidate is under a microscope after she reportedly verbally attacked several pre-teen girls during a recent slumber party at a friend's home.

What are the details?

Abby Broyles, candidate for Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District, reportedly visited the home of a friend on Feb. 11, during which time she was said to have become drunk and verbally aggressive and insulting toward the pre-teens in attendance.

Broyles' friend was hosting a slumber party for her daughter and other young girls when the incident unfolded.

Online news site NonDoc.com first reported the story late last week.

According to various reports, Broyles drank wine throughout the night and became combative toward the girls at the party, calling one of them "acne f***er," another "Hispanic f***er," and another "judgy f***er."

The reports noted that at least one of the young girls fled from the room in tears after being subjected to Broyles' insults.

Later on in the evening, Broyles was said to have spiraled further out of control, vomiting into a laundry basket and into one of the girls' shoes.

Her first response

Broyles told the outlet that she wasn't even at the home when the party took place and that the allegations — which emerged on Twitter — were "awful and false."

“I have been out of town on a fundraising trip, and [the allegations] are awful and offensive and false,” Broyles insisted. “I mean, I get trolled on Twitter all the time, but I don’t know these women and I don’t know what is behind this, but it’s just not true.”

She added that it wouldn't have surprised her if the girls' mothers "cooked up" the bizarre story in a bid to ruin her political career.

“I’m running for office. You don’t think this is a political attack? You don’t think this is something they cooked up?” Broyles insisted.

She backtracks

A mother of one of the young girls at the party came out with damning information shortly after Broyles told NonDoc that she was not in attendance at the sleepover.

“[My daughter] proceeded to tell me that Abby Broyles had been at the house and was very drunk and calling them all mfer’s, f’er this, f’er that,” Matthews told the outlet. “[Broyles] called somebody acne f’er, somebody Hispanic f’er, called my daughter judgy f’er for not wanting to sleep with a blanket that she cleaned up wine with.”

“You don’t speak to any human that way, let alone a little girl who’s 12 to 13,” Matthews added. “That can really change how a little girl views herself for the rest of her life."

Other parents also corroborated their daughters' stories.

During a later interview with KFOR-TV, Broyles said that she was, in fact, at the home where she sleepover had taken place and then blamed her friend for giving her an unidentified medication that sparked an "adverse reaction," prompting her to black out.

“She asked me to come over. She asked me to bring some wine. We had wine and sushi and a couple of hours later, we were upstairs in their theater room watching a movie,” Broyles told the station. “For years I have struggled with stress and anxiety and insomnia. I took the bar exam on 2 hours of sleep. I mean, this is how far this goes back for me. And she knows that. And she gave me a medication I had never taken before. And I had an adverse reaction. Instead of helping me sleep, I hallucinated. And I don’t remember anything until I woke up or came to, and I was throwing up in a hamper.”

Broyles added that she can only recall moment she reportedly began to hallucinate.

"I remember starting to hallucinate, and the rest is just blurry," she recalled. "I just remember opening my eyes, and I had gotten sick in this hamper and I didn’t know where I was. It was the most awful experience that I’ve had."

She told KFOR that she felt deep regret for her actions.

“I would never ever say anything hurtful," she insisted. "I’ve never, ever would say something hurtful like those things. And that’s why I know I was not in my right mind. I know that that’s what happened because of that combination of things. And I deeply, deeply regret it. ... I want to say sorry from the bottom of my heart, I apologize for any hurt or damage or trauma that my behavior, when I didn't know what I was doing, caused. I'm deeply sorry.”
