An American woman has spoken out about the biggest culture shocks she has experienced since her move to Australia.

In a series of videos uploaded to TikTok this week waala.stark shared the things that surprised her most about the country after moving to Sydney eight months ago.

'The weather is the best I've ever experienced,' she wrote adding: 'Warm is actually "freezing" to Australians' and that 'the sun is so low it fries you.'

Walaa also praised Australia for having the coolest but deadliest nature, as well as providing free access to GPs.

Despite describing Australians as friendly, Walaa pointed out she noticed casual racism while living in the country.

'Haven't had a huge incident myself just shocked at how common it is and people don't bat an eye,' she added.

In another video, the TikToker said she was surprised by the widespread availability of halal food products and the quality of fresh produce.

'Halal food is everywhere, even at fast food chains,' she wrote.

'Fruits and vegetables taste amazing because everything is organic.'

Walaa noted Athleisure as 'the go-to style but was left puzzled by popular fashion trends such as Mullets and Jorts or denim shorts.

'Are denim shorts not a thing anywhere else?' asked one shocked viewer.

'Jorts are awesome,' argued one person.

'Yea girl I still question the mullets too,' commented another.

'Yeah we don’t understand the mullets thing either,' added a third.

She said the best things about the country was that Australia was 'such a tranquil place' and that Aussies seemed unbothered with politics.

'Nobody cares about politics or world events, just existing on vibes,' she said.
