As inflation hits a 30 year high and Americans struggle to pay for household necessities, NBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle believes that Americans have no right to complain.  The dirty little secret here, Willie, while nobody likes to pay more, on average we have the money to do so,” Ruhle said on NBC today.  She elaborated further, saying “Household savings hit a record high over the pandemic. We didn’t have anywhere to go out and spend. And as we said a moment ago, we’re expecting retail sales this holiday season to break records.”

Liberal media across the country have attempted to downplay the Biden inflation crisis.  “Suddenly, Americans can’t spend like they used to. Store shelves are emptying, and it can take months to find a car, refrigerator or sofa. If this continues, we may need to learn to do without — and, horrors, live more like the Europeans.”  said Allison Schrager in Bloomberg this week.  Last week, Biden’s Energy Secretary laughed when she was pressed about increasing gas prices.  The Biden administration and their backers in the liberal media have increasingly made it clear that they are not sympathetic to the concerns of Americans hit hard by inflation and record high prices on essential goods.

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the inflation crisis has hit essential goods the hardest.  The price of milk has increased 17 percent, the price of eggs has increased 42 percent, and the price of gas has increased by more than 11 percent.  Perhaps the media is providing cover for the Biden administration because his approval ratings have plummeted due to his poor handling of the economy.  A new Washington Post/ABC poll shows that only 39% of voters approve of his economic performance, and his approval ratings have only continued to decrease in recent months.
