MMA fans have demanded to know how a gruelling inter-gender fight was sanctioned after shocking footage emerged of a male fighter pummelling his female opponent on the ground.
The referee for the MMA-VIP event in Poland was forced to end the bout as the woman suffered a series of blows as the crowd shouted and cheered.
Viewers have described the scenes as 'horrific' and 'absurd'.
The fight on October 29 in Czestochowa starred Ula Siekacz, a female arm wrestler and well-built fitness instructor who has shown off her muscle on social media.
In the octagon however she was no match for Piotrek Muaboy - a mixed martial artist and self-described '185cm of pure sex'.

In the video, the pair are at first seen swapping fairly tame blows as they jostle for advantage in the ring.
Muaboy, sporting a black paint eye mask, then lands a series of solid blows to Siekacz's face.
The fitness instructor however takes the hits and composes herself. But then as she goes in for a takedown she makes a terrible mistake.
Muaboy then manages to grab Siekacz and flip her over onto her back.

She attempts to wriggle out of his hold and throws several punches which connect with Muaboy's head.
But he manages to shrug them off and mount her before raining punches in.
With Siekacz pinned down and unable to defend herself, the referee quickly runs over to call a halt to proceedings.
After the fight, Muaboy took to Instagram writing: 'My victory shows that you don't judge a book by its cover.'

But as footage emerged of the gruelling bout, MMA fans slammed the inter-gender fight.

That was not the only man vs woman fight on the night with the 'Polish Ken Doll' Michal Przybylowicz beating Wiktoria Domżalska in a separate bout.
